‘Hear for the Holidays’ Hearing Aid Giveaway
Fourth Annual ‘Hear for the Holidays’ Hearing Aid Giveaway Campaign Launches at Local Audiology Clinic In honor of the giving season, Cortland Audiology PC and its partnered locations at Southern Tier Audiology Associates in Elmira, NY and Tri-City Hearing in Vestal, NY wants to give away three pairs of highend hearing aids to those who can’t afford them. The offices of Cortland Audiology PC have been serving Central New York and New York’s Southern Tier from its three locations, some for over 25 years. For the fourth year in a row, they will select a qualifying patient from each of those locations to receive the gift of better hearing this holiday season. Receiving the gift of better hearing could be life changing. “We have deeply committed staff and feel obligated to help our communities in meaningful ways,” says owner Dr. Suzette Pace. “When our patients are able to hear to the best
extent of their capabilities, the world opens up a little more for them; family dynamics shift in positive ways and, individually, people tend get a more hopeful sense of the future. And that means everything to us here.” The program empowers community members to identify friends, family members, and even strangers in need and to nominate them to receive full audiometric evaluation of their hearing needs, a premium level hearing aid system, and lifetime servicing. “The fact that we are able to engage the public in the selection process makes it even more special,” says Pace. “We used to develop the nominees ourselves until a member of our team suggested that we take the act of giving a step further. From that point on, we’ve looked to the giving spirit of the communities that we serve through Central and Southern Tier New York to guide us toward the most deserving individuals out there.” How it works: once someone in our community who could benefit from improved hearing is identified, area residents are asked to submit a nomination to any of the three clinic websites, including why the recipient is deserving. One winner will be chosen to receive a free pair of premium hearing aids from each location.
