Lend a Helping Hand Run: Every year for the last 16 years my bros and I have a run to Pine Lawn National Cemetery to honor our fallen heroes. Hundreds of flags are placed on the plots to show our gratitude to our brothers and sisters that kept us free. Especially, this year we took out the cancer named Osama Bin Laden that was polluting our great land. Well that’s about as much ink as I want to waste on that piece of crap. Well I have been calling this the red eye run only because sign up is between 6:00 and 7:00 a.m. and getting up on a Saturday about 5:00 a.m. means you really want to be there. There was a great turn out about 150 strong and supposedly the Nassau County PD was going to block intersections but they were a no show. So, we did what we do best went outlaw with blockers at every intersection and the run went off without a hitch. Everyone got to the cemetery in one piece and we didn’t stop all the way. Besides clubs that came to support the run we even had a horn player play taps with some comforting words to go with it. We even got Channel 12 a Long Island station to notice us. (That’s a mile stone that only took 16 years to happen). Just like to say forever we stand. “NYC Irish”

Behold King Kong a 13 ft. long, lovingly Customized H-D. It has 2 Knucklehead engines, and weighs more then 1/2 a ton. The original owner Felix Predko of Pennsylvania,

spent more than 4,000 hours customizing this bohemoth. Predko even outďŹ tted King Kong, with a special plug to power his custom made brake light helmet (pictured right) while he was riding. This is the coolest garage built bike I have ever seen.

OCC Headquaters in Newburgh N.Y. is in foreclosure. OCC has 2 mortgages through GE Comm. Finance Business Property Corp., 1 for $11 million and one for $1.5 million. According to OCC lawyer Richard Mahon, mortgage payments where stopped in order to pressure GE Comm.to give OCC a better deal, because when the CHOPMAHAL was built in 2007 it was worth an estimated 12 Million and now claims are being made that it is only worth 7 million.,becuase of the depressed market. Mahon figgers GE won’t seize the property cause it was built for a specific use. But it sounds to me that the lender wants it’s pound of flesh, and this is the 1st step to acheiving that goal. Here comes the dogs days of summer! It’s July now and its already hot as hell I can only imagine what its gonna be like come August! With that in mind make sure you all keep hydrated out there, take a break in between those ice cold adult beverages and throw down a water here and there, wear that sunscreen too so you wont look like a tomato with a racoon stripe! HD Gene

A STOP SIGN MEANS DANGER STOP!!! I was riding last month to Inverness behind 2 fellow bikers. I have this to say to them. Believe it or not, there really is a purpose to a stop sign. A STOP SIGN means STOP, DROP YOUR FEET AND LOOK BOTH WAYS. An accident can occur in the blink of an eye and bikers need to be more cognizant of traffic conditions and their surroundings. But it seems the stop sign no longer means stop to many Bikers. The very same Bikers that run Stop signs are the ones that are outraged when a Cager does it. This puts both you and drivers in the WRONG COLUMN. The letters on A STOP SIGN are in capital letters on a red background signifying DANGER. PLEASE OBSERVE AND OBEY STOP SIGNS, THE LIFE YOU SAVE JUST MIGHT BE YOUR OWN. “BEANCAN”

DON’T SHIVER MY FRONT WHEEL,CAPTAIN HOOK The other day I was following a truck with a canoe on it. And let me tell ya that asswipe has a 15 ft. canoe with 7ft of it hanging off the back of his truck ,tied down with a hunk of twine! This is Canoe, kayak and boating season and I have seen it all in Weeki Wachee on Cortez Blvd. Styrofoam coolers,Lifevests,Plastic Chairs,Paddles,Grandma’s Undies and even a radio. What I am getting at here is watch out for stupid dicks hauling boats. Schitt just flies right off and they don’t even know it. They could knock you dick in the dirt and just keep going. They tie vessels on their trailers, trucks, and on the roofs of their cars with, string, baling twine, bungee cords and sometimes even have a person holding the dam thing in their truck. Please don’t tailgate them dumb bastids, and always watch for flying debris to come sailing off. It is another case of us Bikers having to be ProActive in our own safety. And let’s not forget that most of them Popeye’s have been listening to Jimmy Buffet & drinking while crusing the briney deep. SO PLEASE BE CAREFUL WHILE RIDING BEHIND VEHICLES HAULING BOATS,CANOES AND KAYAKS.

We had a great turnout for the June Mystery Run on Father Day the 19th. It started at the Bayport Inn went to Roo’s Pub, The IRRU then up to Crock’s with the final stop High Octane. It was great to get out and ride with all of you,we had a couple of snafoo’s but nobody complained. The run covered 3 counties and was about 125 miles long

long with plenty of brew and laughs along the way. Winners where HIGH ROLL JIM LOW ROLL WAS MARIE. But I feel everyone was a winner on this great adventure.

DISTRACTED DRIVERS While Cagers are protected by 2 tons of metal,we Bikers are at the mercy of texting and cell phone using Dickheads while they are driving. Distracted driving report: In 2011, the Legislature rejected or ignored all bills that would limit drivers’ use of cell phones and text messaging devices. The Legislature adjourned May 6 2011. Gov. Rick Scott, a conservative Republican, does not appear supportive of a handheld cell phone ban. Florida is one of a few states that have no distracted driving laws, despite numerous and repeated attempts by legislators. Legislators are trying to get Heather’s Law passed which is named after Heather Hurd, 27, killed by a trucker who was fumbling for his text messaging device as he slammed into her vehicle. Her fiance was seriously injured and another woman died as well. The wreck occurred on Florida’s infamous “Bloody 27″ highway. It appears the Asswholes in Government espacially the Governor have to protect their Phony Baloney jobs, and are willing to do so by blocking all attempts by rational legislators to protect the public from Distarcted drivers. Next election lets VOTE THEM PHUCKERS OUT.

Hello Scooterfolks, I’ve been up north for almost 2 months now so I thought I’D write about a few things I have done. From the 3rd to the 12th of June is Ohio Bike Week, some friends and I went for the 1st weekend, it’s held in Sandusky Ohio right on Lake Erie.(Ohio Bike Week began as the North Coast Thunder Rally & Ohio State H.O.G. Rallyn 1999 and 2000) It was the 10th annual and it draws about 130,000 people, it’s a lot like the Florida Leesburg event. They block off the streets in the downtown area and have bands and vendors of all kinds. Out at the fairgrounds is camping, A bike show and more vendors, & the local drag strip has the all Harley drags, it was a real good time ( I go every year ) If you are up north this time of year it’s well worth going to. More Info http://ohiobikeweek.com/ On the 8th of June some friends and I rode to Lansing Mi. for a helmet protest, as we have no choice in this state. We do have a new governor so this might be the year we can do away with our helmets. It was a very hot day (93) and about 1,000 bikes converged on the capital. This is something I do every year also. On the 12th of June a friend and I went to an antique bike show at the Gilmore Museum near Kalamazoo Mi. over 100 bikes were on display along with vendors, a swap meet and a mini bike race. This event has grown over the years and draws hundreds of spectators. The Gilmore is an all automotive museum in a country setting on 100 acres with several large buildings full of some of the rarest and exotic cars you have ever seen, well worth checking out if you should happen to be in the area. Well that’s about it for now, I’ll be talking to you soon. The Museum is OPEN DAILY 9 a.m. - 5 p.m. Saturdays & Sundays until 6 p.m http://www.gilmorecarmuseum.org Ride safe MILKIE

NO SKOOLCHOPPERS I would just like to start out by thanking our current government for turning this country to shit, I hope the economy takes a serious turn for the better real soon. To many battles are being fought in other countries to free them from their crises, who is gonna save us from our own. One thing No Skool wants to hit on is the honor guard teams that volunteer their time to honor our fallin veterans at the time of funeral services. Those of you that are not familiar with this honor, The Department of Defense is responsible for providing military funeral honors.” HONORING THOSE WHO SERVE” is the title of the program for providing dignified military funeral honors to veterans who have defended our nation.Upon the family’s request, public law 106-65 requires that every eligible veteran receive a military funeral honors ceremony, to include folding and presenting the United States burial flag and playing Tapes. The law defines a military funeral honors detail as consisting of two or more uniformed military persons, with at least one being a member of the veteran’s parent service of the armed forces. The Department of Defense program call’s for funeral home directors to request military funeral honors on behalf of the veterans family. However, The Department of Veterans Affairs National Cemetery Administration cemetery staff can also assist with arranging military funeral honors at VA national cemeteries. Veterans organizations may also assist in providing military funeral honors. Also the Patriot Guard riders show up on their scoots rain or shine, lined up at the service, each of the holding an American Flag to honor our veterans at their final resting place, so just remember there are still people out there who volunteer their time for our veterans. So every chance you get THANK A VET. RIDE LIKE U STOLE IT “No Skool”

We hit the Sail Inn June 4th to watch The Jimmy Sparks band work their musical magic! They make it look soo easy as they belt out some kick ass tunes. Every weekend the Saill Inn has some sort of entertainment goin on. We also stopped in there June 18th for the bars 2nd Anniversary party and BDAY Bash for Kay! It was a hawaiian luau theme goin on with giveaways and games hosted by our own BIG RAGOO! Biker Humor A biker was speeding down the highway, feeling secure in a gaggle of other bikers all traveling at the same speed. However, as they passed a speed trap, he got nailed and was pulled over. The officer handed the him his citation, and as he turned to walk back to his cruiser, the biker asked, “Officer, I know I was speeding, but I don’t think it’s fair. There were plenty of other bikes around me going just as fast, so why did I get the ticket?” “Ever go fishing?” the Cop asked. “ Yeah” the startled Biker replied. The COP grinned and SAID, “Ever catch ALL the fish?”

March 13th 2010 Paul Sermons took the life of fellow Bikers John Holmes, 52, Patricia Beihayn, 52,William Barker, 54, & Patrice Poole, 55. Now finally over a year later Sermons will pay the price. His trial took place in Sumter County and it took the jury just 2 hrs to find Sermons guilty of 4 counts of DUI MANSLAUGHTER for the 4 innocent lives he took. His punishment will be handed down to him on July 6th 2011 in the same courtroom where he was convicted. Throughout the trial, defense lawyers Kevin Beck and Adam Landeen hammered expert witnesses questioning the validity of the positive DUI tests. They also tried to blame Melissa Pike the driver of the truck Sermons was trying to pass for causing the accident. Those 2 finoaks also questioned whether Melissa could see clearly with the sun in her eyes. In MY opinion Sermons was the only cause of the crash because of his reckless driving and being under the influence of alcohol. The entire Scootergoods Staff wishes to commend Prosecuting Attorney Catto for a through and absolutely fair presentation of the facts which led to the conviction and soon incarceration of Paul Sermons and we are hoping for the maximum punishment in this case. Do I feel justice was served? Maybe to some. But MY sympathies lie with the family members of the victims, no punishment dealt to Sermons will ever return them to their families. “DonV’

BROTHER JOHN Saturday May 28th we saddled up & headed to the Sail Inn for the Daisy Dukes’ & the Wet Boxer’s contest’s. It was also Monkey’s last day here before moving over to the east coast (good to see her but not good to see her leave - good luck Monkey). It was hotter than hell but I sat under the mister most of the day, with a cold one (plus had a good view of all the shenanigans). The Big Ragoo MC’d the day & the contest’s (was in rare form). Now what’s wrong with this picture - There were more guy’s in the Wet Boxer contest than there were lady’s in the Daisy Duke’s contest’s??? They even got Ragoo into the wet boxer contest - a sight to behold! Monday May 30th we pointed Da Deuce north & headed to Bushnell National Cemetery for the Memorial Day service’s. A moving service it was - not a dry eye around. Good to see a large crowd & as many motorcycle’s that there was. For me Memorial Day is the most emotional day of the year. Friday June 10th, we again pointed Da Deuce north & headed back to Bushnell - only this time to the Sumter County court house. The trial of Paul Sermons - The piece of shit that killed four biker’s - March of last year. It did not take the jury long to find the piece of shit guilty on four counts of DUI Manslaughter (Sentencing will be July 6th). On the way back we stopped by the Big Fish General Store on 48 between Bushnell & Floral City. We each got a fresh sub sandwich, a tall cold one & sat out by the river on a picnic table (very relaxing). That sub was dam good & all I could eat. Sunday June 12th - Again saddled up Da Deuce & headed south for the poker run to benefit special needs riders & their horses. After sign up we headed to 2nd stop, the NEW Thunder Tavern on 54 and new it is - besides new owners. New large U-shaped bar & new large air conditioning unit with more changes to come (the beer was VERY cold). The third stop was The Rockin Horse Farm for which this was put on. The farm was clean & well taken care of, the horses were also clean, healthy & well fed (we notice these things - we had a horse farm back in Michigan). To see the trainer’s & volunteer’s working with the kid’s & their horse’s was a sight to behold. The kid’s just lit wright up & really enjoyed themselves. The Rockin Horse Farm, the trainers & (Cont. volunteer’s have earned a Big Hell Yeah! Outstanding! It was then off to Di’s Pub, then to The Hideaway. Kathy had a full house & the food was great. The Big Ragoo had his mic hummin as he auctioned off many donations to benefit The Rockin Horse Farm (they earned all the help they can get)! July 4th - Independence Day. Our forefathers fought & many died to create this great country of ours known as the United States of America. They wanted independence from the mother country (England) because of the taxes bestowed upon them, that did not benefit them. So in 1776 we won our independence through the War of Independence, which was funded by our own very first tax. Sense that time we all know too well what has happened - our own federal government has taxed us & spent none stop! We have not worked our entire lives to support illegal immigrants or low lives who don’t want to work except work at working the system - it’s B/S & I’m fed up! We support immigrants who want to change America to be like where they had come from. If they want America to be like, where they had come from - why the hell did they leave? Go the F back!!! Land of the Free Hand Outs!! United States of America - Anything but united! Our Federal government is dividing us - Example: The suit against Arizona & now Missouri - We should be standing behind them & following their lead (seeing that they had the balls to take the lead). United We Stand - Divided We Fall. “We can not defend freedom abroad by deserting it at home” Edward R. Murrow Live Free - Ride Free - Ride Again - Brother John

The new monthly FUN RUN in Citrus County had 70 sign ups and there was alotta new faces. The run started at the Mousetrap,at 11am on Sunday June 12th owner Mark had some free grubb to get us started & of course cold beer. Then I think the best part of the run in my opinion was the ride to the Sunray Saloon. A forest fire detour took us a bit outta our way but it was great to get the extra time in the wind. The Sunray Saloon is in Morriston, up on 41 so with the detour it was a 40 miler to get their and great service was rendered to our merry mob of scooterheads by the fine staff there. We even took a group shot on their huge stage outback. (Pic Left) Then to Thunder Inn,Fat Daddy’s & Mickey’s in Crystal River was the final stop where owner George the organizer of the run had Food for everyone. So A BIG ATA BIKER TO HIM. Sunday July 10th will be the next Fun Run starting at the Mousetrap again. It has 6 stops, this month ending at The Oarhouse in Crystal River See details in this issue on Page 50.

YA GUTTA GET THEIR ATTENTION SO GET HORNY! Most think of the horn on their scoot as a safety device of last resort, when in reality it is A primary safety source. For some reason it has been the rule of thumb, that smaller vehicles have quieter horns. This makes no sense to me, but that is how it is. In recent years many companies have come out with AIR HORNS for scoots. At Wayne’s Citrus Cycles in Floral City you can get a 139 Decibel NAUTILIS AIR HORN installed on any late model harley for $99.00. They are 20 times louder then a stock horn and can be heard from 3 blocks away according to the manufacturer. So you should be able to make any Cager Schitt their pants when they are right near you! “2 Dog Joe” IQU LL FU L

Caridad Robinette of Springhill was arrested for DUI,& Property Damage by HCSO after she flipped her SUV approaching Brother John. We are extremely glad John was not hurt in the feeassco. When approached right after the occurance Robinette tried to enlist help from a passer by to upright her vehicle so she could avoid HCSO involvement but witnesses had already notified Police. She was arrested and booked with DUI.

In 1777, six years before the United States won our freedom and one year after the signing of the Declaration of Independence, Americans used fireworks to signify patriotism. Unfortunately The Capt. is in Minn. with an ill Family member,so I will be filling in this month. Let’s talk meatballs, cause they just ain’t for speghetti anymore. I was at Mickey’s Bar last month and had BBQ’ed Meatballs and man let me tell ya when they was gone there was alot of cryin’ goin’ on. They where deelicious!!! I meen finger lickin, bread soppin’, plate lickin’ good !!! I did’nt get a chance to talk to owner George Nelson but I will say this. He gets a BIG ATA BIKER FOR THEM BABIES !! They are the Bomb!! And they are the perfect compliment to an ICE COLD BEER. Another place to enjoy great Florida Style Whole Hog Smoked meat is at the Sunray Saloon in Morriston right on Rte 41. Lovingly perpared by a guy called Kracker Kurt. Cuz there ain’t nothin’ like fresh off the spit. So my advice to you is to call the Sunray and ask when he’s cookin’ cuz ya won’t be sorry you rode up to get a plate full. 1 more place to try is Fat Daddy’s in Hernando for fall of the bone BBQ, prepared by Mark Dominque and his wife Jeannie. They have several mouthwaterin’ sauces and great side dishes to boot. And of course Ice Cold Beer. Well That’s it for now, Good Eatin’ ‘Beancan”

Sturgis Sued Sturgis Sturgis, Ky., is a town of about 2,000 in the western part of the state. For the past 15 years the Annual Little Sturgis Rally and Races for Charity has been held at a county fairgrounds there. The Kentucky rally brings in about 20,000 people a year and has raised about $2 million for various area charities since it began. NOW !!! The Sturgis, S.D., Chamber of Commerce has won a judgement which claimed copyright infringement by Little Stiurgis. DID I MENTION LITTLE STURGIS RAISES MONEY FOR CHARITY! The Sturgis S.D. Rally uses the proceeds from licensing the rally name and logos to support community and economic development projects, according to the complaint. NOTHING FOR CHARITY! It is a for proďŹ t event. I meen what ever happened to live and let live. Could cross promotion have been the answer without completely dystroying and event that has raised $2 Million for Charity in little Sturgis KY.? I guess the for biker bucks knows no bounds even when it comes to for proďŹ t over charity.

On Sat. June 18th in Hernando Beach, we all gathered to rename Shoaline Blvd the Justin Dean Coleman Hwy. Justin made the ultimate sacrifice for his country fighting for our freedom.

21 yr. old Justins life ended On July 24 2009 in a dusty country far away called Afghanistan. His unit was attacked by terrorist forces using small arms and rocket-propelled grenades. So when your are riding down the Justin Dean Coleman Hwy. Please remember what the price of Freedom cost this young soldier and his Family. Thanks go out to The Patriot gaurd, MCL 708 Color Guard and 200 Bikers & fellow Americans that turned out to memorilize the sacrifice of this brave young man. Our Hearts also go out to the 5 Gold Star Families which where in attendence. And to all of the families throughout this nation who’s loved ones have made the ultimate Sacrifice.

ROADQUEEN In planning my trip to Sturgis this year I came across a great article on Women and Motorcycling being recognized in Sturgis, SD The Buffalo Chip will recognize the passion, diversity and spirit of women in motorcycling during the 71st annual Sturgis Rally. Women from across the globe will hit the road Wednesday, August 10, 2011, for the first annual Biker Belles celebration. The event was created to help celebrate women’s role in shaping the culture, history and sport of motorcycling, while helping to raise significant funds for two charities chosen by Helping with Horsepower, including the Abbott House and the Sturgis Motorcycle Museum and Hall of Fame. The inaugural Biker Belles celebration will begin in the historic town of Deadwood, as the Lodge at Deadwood will roll out the red carpet and host a special welcome reception complete with events, entertainment and activities catered to women. From Deadwood, Motor Maids member Meg McDonough and friends will lead a women-only ride to The Chip for a special Biker Belles shindig put on by “The Best Party Anywhere.” “Each year, the Buffalo Chip sees more and more women riding through our gates,” says Toni Woodruff, daughter of Buffalo Chip President Rod Woodruff. “It’s so exciting to have an event during the Sturgis Rally that caters to women riders and benefits local charities in the process!” The Biker Belles event will be highlighted by a reception and celebration at the Legendary Buffalo Chip where Laura Klock, a 4-time national land speed record holder and pilot of the original “World’s Fastest Bagger” will unveil “Salt,” a customized Harley-Davidson built by Laura alongside the girls and women of the Abbott House. While at the party, Laura and her staff will be selling raffle tickets to win this special bike, with proceeds benefitting the Abbott House. (Cont. Pg. 79)

In 1990 this Davis Motor Mine cart was discovered in an abandoned gold mine in California. It utilized a 21 C.I. H-D single cyl. engine. This one of kind vehicle is believed to be the brainchild of an unknown blacksmith. It features all wheel drive,a Ford Model-A transmission was added, giving the cart nine forward speeds and three reverse speeds. It was also reported that, after sitting idle in the collapsed mine for over 60 years, the remains of the miner who drove the cart were found astride the machine during its excavation in 1990.The Davis Motor Mine Cart has been a part of the Wheels Through Time Museum collection for over ďŹ fteen years, and is displayed in running and operating condition.

3000 Innocent Americans where killed September11th 2001 We Will Never FORGET

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------This month’s tech-tip is about the clouding effect that can impair your Harley headlamp, especially on the touring models. This is caused by gas which is given off by the halogen bulb. This clouding on the back of the reflective housing can reduce by up to half your headlamp’s projection effectiveness. This loss in the lamp’s reach is gradual over a period of time so that it can go unnoticed initially. But at night your vision is reduced by up to 60%, (that’s a lot). Now Harley has a new halogen “sealed beam” utilizing what they call “reflector optics”. This lamp increases the beams projection from 200’ to 525’. If your lamp is clouded now, you are likely to be projecting only 100’ (a huge difference at night). Harley part numbers for the new lamps are… 68297-05 for the 5.75” lamp 68342-05 for the 7” lamp Happy motoring.
