Class of 2013

Diagnostic Essay August 2009 the start of my high school career and the start of four long years that come with memorable experiences. Over these past three and a half years I have experienced many good and not so good memories. Overall most of them have been good experiences and looking back I would not change them. My most memorable experience of high school would have to be my ASL class my junior year. There are many reasons that my ASL class last year is my most memorable experience. At the end of sophomore year when signing up for my junior year classes I had chosen to take ASL. I had no clue what I was getting my self into, however I went into the class with an open attitude towards learning ASL. I had ASL sixth period and when I arrived I instantly knew it was going to be a good year. The reason being is Sam Koltoff and Jordan Jones were in my ASL class. The three of us together isn’t a very good combination, which the teacher soon found out. The three of us had a lot of fun and got yelled at many times; all fun aside we also learned a good amount of sign language. We still communicate in the hallways using the same ASL we learned our junior year. Junior year was a great year, and without ASL it would not have been as much fun as it was.

How I want to be Remembered I don’t really think about being remembered at Fishers High School after I graduate by my teachers or classmates. Although I am sure there are a couple teachers and classmates that will remember me. High School has gone really fast and it was the worst and best four years of my life. I want to be remembered as Tiny. Tiny has been my nickname since third grade and many people still call me it to this day. Along with being remembered as Tiny, I want to be known as the guy that always joked around and still could get my work done. A lot of people don’t understand how I can get good grades because I don’t take many things seriously, I just like to have fun and enjoy life. Even though I don’t take things seriously I get all of my homework done as well as doing decent on test. I want to be remembered as the guy with the sexiest lifted jeep Cherokee at Fishers High School. Overall I don’t want to be remembered by much when I graduate, just that I came to Fishers High School, did my, work and graduated from a very nice school.

Major Changes All the way up to eighth grade not much had changed in my life. It seemed like the same routine since kindergarten. Wake up in the morning, get dressed, ride the bus to school, and learn was a daily thing. Luckily once I started high school things started to change, and that same old routine changed. The first major change that I experienced was being able to drive to school. Driving to school allows me to get up later, which in turn gets me more sleep. Another major change I have experienced is that the teachers in high school treat you differently than those of middle or elementary school. They treat you with a more of an adult feeling, they don’t baby you and they treat you how you treat them. Overall the biggest change I’ve got to experience is in my senior year. This year I decided to take welding at JEL, which means I only go to FHS for three periods. Every day I get to leave at 10:30 and go to JEL, which breaks up my day better than the previous three years. Without JEL I would have senioritis ten times worse than I already do. High school also increases your maturity level as you approach senior year.

Memories of Family or Childhood Many memories havpenise been made over the eighteen years of my life. Some of the best memories have taken place in either my early childhood or high school years. The best memories I have of when i was in elementary school and middle school was going camping and fishing. Every weekend we would go to Turkey run, go kayaking, fishing, or camping, Once high school hit most of this stopped, the reason being is because I got a job and had to work most weekends. I also remember going to Kings Island and Disney world many timpenises and those were some of the best memories of my childhood. Ever since I was little I always wanted to drive, one year my mom bought me a power wheels motorcycle and I rode it every day. It had training wheels on it, but me and my cousin took them off and I remember getting in trouble. One of the most painpenisful memories of my childhood was knocking out my teeth, not only once but two times. The first time I feel on a metal slide and the second time I flew of the handle bars on my bike.

Work Hard Play Hard

This particular art piece above was made by me junior year of High School, it has a lot of meaning that plays a role in my life. The reason I titled it “Work Hard Play Hard” is due to the fact that’s what I live my life by. On one side it has imprints of tools, nuts, bolts, and screws, the reasoning being is that the working side of me. On the other side of the piece it has imprints of fishing lures, bobbers, hooks, weights, and worms. That side is my free time, how I have fun, and how I relax. The tire tracks down the center of the piece illustrate my life as a road, in which ties these two sides together. All together it means I work hard to play hard and that’s the road I want to stay on to be successful.

Time Capsule 1. Fishing Reel- I would put one of my fishing reels inside the time capsule, the reason being is fishing is what I love to do. If one thing explained me the most it would be my fishing reel because I have loved it since I was a little kid. 2. 12 gauge shells- The reason I would leave a 12 gauge shell inside the time capsule is because I love to shoot and hunt, and my favorite type of gun to shoot with is a 12 gauge. 3. Jeep Cherokee Hot Wheel- I will leave a Jeep Cherokee hot wheel in the time capsule because I have a lifted Jeep Cherokee and I put a lot of my time and effort into it making it look the way I imagine my dream Jeep. 4. Welding Electrode- Welding has become of big part of what I am in the last year, it’s a great hobby, and also a great trade to possibly enter the job market. 5. My boots- I would leave my boots in the time capsule because they have been through everything I have in the past year, they have seen me grow as a person, and overcome many obstacles along the way.

The End is Near The end is near for my senior year and it can not come quick enough. I have been ready for graduation since half way through my freshman year. Fishers High School has been a pretty good experience, but It hasn’t been the best. After I graduate there isn’t going to much that I miss about FHS except for my friends. I have always wanted to go to a smaller school in a smaller town so FHS hasn’t really suited the type of school I wanted to attend. What ill miss the least is going to school with so many kids and the amount of crowding in the hallway. I will also not miss the terrible school lunches, which have been the worst out of any school I have attended. I look forward to getting out of Fishers and moving to a smaller town with a lot less people. What I will miss the most is my friends and all the joking and clowning around in class. These four years have flown by but, this last semester has been very slow.

Meaning of Life What is the meaning of life, well to some people that may be a simple question; however to some it can be very complex. To me the meaning of life is simple, and it consists of family, friends, and living each day to the fullest. The meaning of life to me is always keeping a positive attitude and to live as simple as possible, which to me is being close to the ones you love and knowing who is always there for you. All I need in my life is family, friends, my girlfriend, and of course fishing. Like I said life to me is supposed to be simple if you make it too complex your life with feel rushed and jammed packed all the time. Live as simple and enjoy the outdoors as much as possible and life with come with little obstacles.
