The term used to describe the trauma experienced by young people before the age of 18, which can have lifelong emotional and physical impacts. Attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) is a condition that affects people's behaviour. People with ADHD can seem restless, may have trouble concentrating and may act on impulse The review of an Education, Health & Care Plan. This must be completed within 12 months of making the Plan and then on an annual basis. An interim review will be held every six months for children in early years Four broad categories used to describe a pupil’s SEN. They are: communication and interaction, cognition and learning, SEMH (see below), sensory and/or physical needs Adult social care is the support provided to adults with physical or learning disabilities, or physical or mental illnesses. This could be for personal care (such as eating, washing, or getting dressed) or for domestic routines (such as cleaning or going to the shops). Autism spectrum disorder (ASD) is a developmental disorder that affects communication and behaviour. Although autism can be diagnosed at any age, it is said to be a “developmental disorder” because symptoms generally appear in the first two years of life.
