PARIS 2018 Preparing for the Trip

PARIS 2018 Practical Packing Appropriate clothing for a mix of weathers Comfortable footwear Share electrical items between friends e.g. Hairdryer Plug adaptors and mobile phone chargers Hat and Sun glasses Sunscreen Towels – the hotel does provide towels. Bring your own if desired.

Remember you will spend all day on your feet, so wear very comfortable footwear.

PARIS 2018 Travel Documentation We require the following for your child before Friday 29th June 2018 to the Finance Office : - Passport - European Health Insurance Card (EHIC) Please complete the following tonight: - Sign Medical Form - Sign Behaviour Contract

PARIS 2018 Medication We require any medication for your child prior to the visit departing.

Please complete a administration of medication form for your child and return with the medication in a sealed bag to the general office by Friday 29th June 2018.

PARIS 2018 Spending Money Students will require money for lunch on day 2 and day 3 £10 per day. Students will be given £5 for lunch/dinner on the outward and inward journeys.

Students are allowed to bring spending money with them.

Students will be responsible for their own money and purchases throughout the trip.

We recommend no more than €150

PARIS 2018 During the visit there will be opportunities for which we would like to take photographs to show back in school, and in school media.

If you have not provided consent for your child to be photographed, please inform your child of this to prevent photographs being taken.

If you would like to provide consent please contact the general office.

Students must ask for permission of students and staff prior to posting picture on social media.

PARIS 2018 Visit Safety All students will be allocated a group leader who will supervise their group during the visit We will remind students throughout the trip about how to remain safe with regular instructions As in any large city, there are specific situations in which you should be vigilant with your belongings, tourists are a main target for pickpockets.

PARIS 2018 Personal Safety Students will be provided with Contact Cards that will contain: • Their student identity number for the visit • The visit leader name and contact number • The base contact name and contact number • The address of the hotel Staff will carry the mobile phone numbers of students for emergency use only. This will be collected prior to departure.

PARIS 2018 Group Safety Whilst on the visit students will be informed of emergency meeting points when visiting specific landmarks or sites e.g. Eiffel Tower.

In the event of an emergency students and staff will meet at the identified location for registration.

The group will then move to a safe place

PARIS 2018 Disney Land At Disney Land students will be allowed to visit the theme park in small groups. Students will be put in groups of a minimum of 3 students.

Staff will meet students at specific meeting points at agreed times throughout the day Am emergency meeting point will also be identified and communicated to student.

PARIS 2018 Visit Updates School will keep parents up to date via the school Facebook and twitter pages.

Parents will receive a text message when the group arrives. Text messages will also be sent if the school is delayed both outbound and inbound.
