Parents/Carers Parents and carers are welcome to stay in school any time. Once your child has settled, you may like to join us on a regular basis or just occasionally. There are many ways in which you can help, either with the children’s activities or by sharing a specific skill.
Links with Pre-School We enjoy good links with our feeder pre-schools and day nurseries. Once you have accepted a place here, please do tell the pre-school that your child will be leaving so that they can offer a place to another child on their waiting list.
Challenging Minds in a Changing World
“New Bridge Nursery School is outstanding and provides an exceptionally rich and nurturing education for its children. Almost without exception, parents and carers describe the school in glowing terms” Ofsted 2011
We are an outstanding, happy, welcoming Nursery based in north Reading. Our purpose is to provide holistic learning in a safe, happy, fun and stimulating environment. Ofsted confirmed in 2011 that we do this and our parents unanimously agree. In our Nursery you will see everyone helping your child to engage positively in their learning, whilst having lots of fun, and making progress in their development. If you have a child of two years or over, live in Caversham and are considering a Nursery School, then do get in touch. It will be my pleasure to show you around our friendly Nursery for a visit.
Children of all abilities and needs are welcome at our Nursery, come and see us. We value outside play and give children opportunities throughout the session to experience all aspects of learning outside.
We offer either five mornings or five afternoon places together with one extra session each week. This means that children stay at Nursery for one full day per week.
Lisa Bedlow Head Teacher
There are two classes of 30 children. One group is called Sunshine and the other Rainbow.
“This is a wonderful nursery. My child comes home happy every day!“.
“Children’s energetic physical activity in the fresh air outside and enthusiastic snacking of fruit show a natural and spontaneous tendency towards keeping healthy”.
