Year 1’s Food Tasting

PTFA Update Date for your diary: The PTFA Summer Fair will be taking place on Friday 11th July from

This week, as part of Year 1’s food project, the children got to experience different types of food. They had to determine whether or not they liked the unfamiliar foods before finding out about them. Year 1 are currently working towards their end of year celebration picnic in the park.

Year 1 Food Quiz & Most Adventurous Eaters Awards Well done to those children who won the Year 1 Food Tasting Competition and those who were declared the ‘most adventurous eaters’ for trying a range of new and different foods.

3 pm—6 pm. It is going to be a wonderful afternoon with a bouncy castle, raffle, games and music. We will be holding a dance competition and roller skating. At the Summer Fair there will be a parents market where parents can pay £20.00 to book a table to sell their products.

Head Teacher’s Awards Reception have been working exceptionally hard over the past few weeks and this week we saw four Head Teacher’s Awards issued to some very worthy winners. Well done Reception for your amazing pieces of writing and good behaviour.

More details will appear on the PFTA’ s first newsletter on Monday 16th June.

Design a Summer Fair poster. All Primary children will be given an A4 sheet of paper tonight to design this year’s summer fair poster. Entries need to be handed back into school by Thursday 19th June. The winning posters will be printed and used to advertise the fair.
