Year 1 Art Exhibition Goodbye and Good Luck

On Wednesday, parents and carers were invited in to view the exhibition created by our Year 1 students. It was a great success and it was lovely to see the children being able to talk so eloquently about the process they went through to create their final pieces of art. The art work will be displayed alongside the parent feedback net for the next half term if you missed out. We think they really brighten up our school!

World Book Day—Thursday 6th March We will be holding a number of events throughout the week including a treasure hunt, writing competitions and story telling. On Thursday 6th March, your child will be able to come to school dressed as their favourite book character. The theme of our activities will be ‘Other Worlds’ and we will be working with secondary on some of our activities. We will also be holding a joint Home School Competition. Your challenge is to design Another World. Imagine walking through a door, what could be on the other side? You and your child could draw a picture of this other world or use junk modelling it's up to you. Be as creative as you like. The half-term break is the perfect time to get making! These will be displayed in the Primary Library. There will also be prizes. Please speak to Miss Dilger if you have any questions. Please look out for more information on the events that will be taking place

Year 1 Road Safety Lessons On Tuesday, Year 1 had road safety classes with Miss Karin from the Newham Road Safety Team. They learnt how to hold hands with a grown up, stop, look and listen when crossing the road and practised at their own zebra crossing. We even sang a special song. Now we all know how to stay safe on the roads!

Sadly we say goodbye to Miss Mills this week who has decided to leave and spend more time with her family. We wish her all the very best for the future. School RE OPENS TUESDAY 25th February 2014

Please note there will be no after school clubs on Tuesday 25th February. Extended Day will run as normal.

Safer Internet Day During assembly this week, we talked about being safe on the Internet. Children were reminded that they should always be with an adult when online and were asked to design their own safer internet poster. We can’t wait to see them!
