Issue 33: 28th June 2013

Transition to the New Site! As you will be aware, September will bring yet another new beginning for the School 21 Community in that we will be moving to our new and permanent site on Pitchford Street. Earlier in the week, children and staff had the opportunity to take a trip into the new building to see exactly how things are progressing in anticipation of our move. We were all very excited to see what will be our new classrooms and hall and we even had to wear hard hats and high visibility safety jackets!

Summer Fair Update Many thanks to all of the parents who have been giving their time and energy to developing our inaugural Summer Fair! We are looking for volunteers for the following stands: 

Beat the Goalie

Wet sponge throw (*prepare to get soaked!)

Hair braiding/plaiting

We are also looking for parents wishing to donate baked goods for ‘The Great School 21 Bake-off!’ which will be sold to raise money for the School 21 PTA. Please see sign-up sheets outside Reception classrooms. We are also looking for items for our raffle. These can be new items you would like to donate or any donations from local establishments. Please see or email Miss Hardy for more information School 21 Buddies We continue to

Finally, we are looking for items to be used on the day: 

New, unopened nail varnish and face paint

Washed/cleaned tins and bottles

Little toys for Lucky Dip

welcome new pupils onto our School 21 team! Well done to yet another ‘Buddy’!

Our next Summer Fair planning meeting is on Friday 5th July from 9-10am. This will be an opportunity to finalise responsibilities and collect any donated items.
