Five years ago The PORT Technology by Schindler allowed our customers to put in place the infrastructure to provide their occupants with a seam­ less transition through their build­ ings. Today myPORT enables this system to reach its full potential. It is not a simple phone app but instead a total mobile strategy letting each occupant get where they need to be when they need to be there with all their access, guidance and transpor­ tation needs organised via their own smart phone.

With an aging population many of whom want to remain independent, the infrastructure already existing in a myPORT building provides an ideal opportunity to offer a range of helpful services. This area is being exten­ sively developed and more detail will be given soon.

With myPORT a new level of convenience is reached as use requests are made directly from the users’ smart phone. It knows where they are and can therefore offer appropriate alternatives or, simply, automatically determine the requirement and provide it.
