Jim Sweat Jim Sweat of the RE/MAX Alliance Group has the protective nature of a guard dog and the heart of a teacher who helps his buyers and sellers choose wisely. Watching the many ways people are taken advantage of sparked a passion, and led Sweat to write two consumeradvocacy books to help homebuyers and sellers avoid pitfalls and make informed decisions. Real Estate CSI: Controversy, Secrets, Insight exposes practices which can be costly; The Ultimate Guide to Selling Your Home helps sellers understand the home-selling process. Strong communication skills allow Sweat to help buyers focus on those features that are most important to them and ensure sellers are properly positioned in the current market. Educating clients is an important way Sweat delivers on his promise to ensure they are able to make informed decisions and truly obtain the best price. His own continuing education also is a key value for Sweat, who holds numerous designations, professional memberships and has earned an Educational Achievement Award for diligence during his 21-year career. He is an Accredited Buyer’s Representative, a Certified Residential Specialist, a Certified Luxury Home Marketing Specialist ®, and Million Dollar Guild ® member of the Institute for Luxury Home Marketing with documented performance selling million and multi-million dollar homes. Sweat began his real estate career in Michigan. His first year, he sold the most, and least, expensive homes in the area. He still has expertise in all price ranges, having sold a $2.9 million waterfront home on Casey Key and a $60,000 starter home last year. Like so many others, Sweat vacationed here in 2006, fell in love with the area, went home to sell his house and real estate brokerage, and moved here full time to enjoy the area’s amenities and outdoor lifestyle.
