In 2016 I set about visiting, experiencing and photographing concrete buildings. Some of those documented here are famous, others obscure. Some have been lovingly cared for and others await ‘demolition by neglect’. Despite their differences, all projects have beauty and value in many respects: including their attention to texture and light, their use of color, and their ability to stand resolute in the face of assertive renovations and harsh environments.
