QUICK REFERENCE GUIDE This Quick Reference Guide will help familiarize you with the basic control board components. For this guide, a generic control board will be used. The components shown here are covered in much greater detail in the main instruction guide. SFX01 ANIMATION CONTROLLER: This unit, when triggered, operates all peripheral devices. •Control Leads: Peripherals, such as valves, the SFX02 and SFX05 plug in to these numbered connectors.. •Power Lead: The SFX01’s 24 VDC power supply plugs in to this connector, color-coded red. •Power Supply: Plug this into any standard US outlet (110 VAC). The connector at the end of the cable, color-coded red, plugs in to the power lead on the SFX01. •Trigger Lead: Triggering devices such as pushbuttons, footpads and motion sensors plug in to this connector, color-coded yellow. SFX02 DIGITAL SOUND EFFECT UNIT: When triggered, this unit plays a pre-recorded sound effect before resetting. •Trigger Lead: This numbered connector plugs in to a corresponding control lead on the SFX01. •Power Supply: Plug this into any standard US outlet (110 VAC) •Audio Out: Stereo RCA-style jacks must be hooked to an amplified sound system.

VALVES: By alternating air flow, valves control the pneumatic cylinders that operate your animation. •Valve Lead: This numbered connector plugs in to a corresponding control lead on the SFX01. •Air In Port: Accepts 1/4” OD (Outer Diameter) or 3/8” OD tubing. Connect this to your air compressor, which should be set to 90 psi. •Air Out Ports: Match the color-coded airlines on your effect to these corresponding ports. •Exhaust Ports: Air escapes from the cylinder via these valves. Exhaust ports are often occupied by Flow Controls. •Flow Controls: A means of controlling air flow, Flow contols are used to regulate the speed of a cylinder. TRIGGERS: Pushbuttons, Footpads and Motion sensors. Each has a connector, color-coded yellow, which plugs in to the trigger lead on the SFX01.
