Our ultimate goal is to offer various designs which reflect the spirit of the time and meets our fans’ tastes,” adds Sean, and explains: “We have chosen various culinary patterns for our current collection. That’s why the chilly and the burger print go down especially well. Sean explains how that looks exactly: “Since this year, sustainability has played an even more important role in our company. After all, we also have a social and ecological responsibility as a startup. In order to become more ecological, we optimised our packaging solutions. The socks’ protective plastic covers were replaced with biodegradable PLA bags. In comparison with the production of conventional plastic bags, the manufacturing process of PLA bags can reduce up to 60 per cent of CO2 emissions. We furthermore use recycled paper for our paper labels and organic cotton for the production of our socks.” The company also plans to completely replace the plastic hooks with hooks that are made out of production and

food waste so that they also become biodegradable. Besides the ecological aspects, DillySocks places great importance on social commitment. This is also the very reason for all socks being produced in a family business in Portugal. “We also found a clever solution for our production surpluses,” says Sean. Together with the ‘Pigna’ foundation for people with disabilities, DillySocks produces cute sock monkeys out of old designs which get resold without profits. Like this, old socks get recycled and new jobs for disabled people are being created. The sock monkeys are currently available on the planes of Edelweiss Air. So, what are you waiting for? DillySocks can give your outfits that special kick – while, at the same time, you support social commitment and sustainability with every purchase. www.dillysocks.com
