King’s Day 27 April Zwolle, the Netherlands Kingsday is the Netherlands’ national holiday, and it is celebrated in style. Held on the birthday of King Willem-Alexander, it is a day for the while nation to rejoice and party. Every year the central Kingsday festivities are held in a different city, marked by the visit of the Royal Family. This year, the picturesque city of Zwolle was chosen as the backdrop for this wonderful event.
