C O V I D - 1 9 A G E N C Y U P D AT E S As we move forward with our "new normal" of COVID-19, the MCO's and the Department of Human Services have indicated that it is safe to resume visits with precautions in place. The precautions are as follows: • Visits have been scaled down to only the required visits, including: • Triggers • Intakes • Reassessments • Changes to an individual's plan • The majority of paperwork can be completed from the office, so visits can be shortened. • Participants have the choice of face-to-face or telephonic visits at this time. • All parties must wear a mask during visits, wash hands or use sanitizer before and after the visit, and social distance as much as possible. • Visits can be completed outside when possible. As an agency, we want to ensure our staff and participants are as safe as possible and following CDC guidelines. All of our staff have been given PPE supplies including masks, hand sanitizer, disenfectant wipes, and extra pens to leave with the participant. The agency or MCO will assist as more are needed. Should you have any questions or concerns, we encourage you to reach out to your Service Coordinator or by calling the main office at 1-844-819-4455 to speak to a Programs Manager. For state updates regarding COVID-19, go to www.health.pa.gov.

THE SHOW MUST GO ON! We have decided to change the location of our upcoming Craft and Vendor Show to the Pavillion at St. Peter and Paul Orthodox Christian Church (141 Hoffman Farm Rd, Windber PA). This is a wonderful venue and is right down the road from Windber Rec Park off of Route 160. Lots of parking, garage doors will be open for an indoor-outdoor feel, a porta-potty onsite...perfect for a Craft and Vendor Show. Join us on Saturday, September 12th from 9 am - 3 pm to shop at a variety of vendors, enter to win basket raffles, and enjoy some food! Scan the QR code with your phone camera to visit our Facebook event page to see any updates and view our list of vendors!

AUCP continues to hire in multiple counties across Pennsylvania. If you or someone you know are interested in becoming a Service Coordinator, please visit www.scalucp.org/careers for a job description and to apply.

S TA F F H I G H L I G H T - A S H L E Y M A L K I N We are very excited to introduce you to our staff highlight this month, Ashley Malkin. Ashley has been with us for one year, first as an intern, and then hired on full-time as our Staff Accountant handling accounts receivable, accounts payable, and general ledger reconciliations for the agency. She has a Bachelor’s degree from the University of Pittsburgh at Johnstown and an Associate’s degree in Accounting from Penn Highlands. She is from Cairnbrook, PA where she lives with her fiance, Shane, and their three dogs. Marsha, a senior dog, whom they adopted two years ago, and Yuna and Bellatrix, both 9 months old. During her free time, she enjoys reading, cuddling with her dogs, and watching Netflix. If she weren’t an accountant, Ashley says she would like to be a librarian. Her favorite thing about working at AUCP is getting to work under Kelly, our Fiscal Manager, Ashley says she is a great supervisor and she has taught her so much over the last year. We are all so thrilled to have Ashley as part of our family here at AUCP. Kelly says "she has quickly become a valuable team member... she is always willing to help out her coworkers and is a pleasure to work with." Ask anyone that has gotten the chance to work with her and they would agree!
