private residence sofa

Year: 2022

Location: Sofa, Bulgaria

For the renovation of an apartment in Sofa, the clients - a professional young couple - requested a simple, cozy home that embraces the spectacular view towards the Vitosha mountains. The brief was centred on creating a fexible space where they could entertain friends, work from home and fnd a shelter from the dynamic city life.

The concept was developed around the idea of storage blocks with different functions that help determine the program spatially and provide a more clear reading of the architecture. The open-plan area incorporates a living, din- ing and kitchen, while the private quarters are completely separated. This space organisation serves a ready-to-use fexible space that is easy to maintain and to adapt to diverse scenarios.

offce interior klaipeda

Collaboration: Egle Skuodatite

Year: 2018

Location: Klaipeda, Lithuania

The headquarters of a famous engineering offce in Klaipeda, Lithuania, required a new spatial design for a collaborative workspace, where communication is encouraged and ideas are easily exchanged. As you enter through the main entrance, a small reception area cladded in Robinson brown oak panels is introduced. Through there, the visitors are welcomed into the central hallway, which is the protagonist element of the interior intervention. What once was a standard narrow corridor, is now an open working area.

A series of glass partitions allow natural light to circulate, providing visual interaction between the spaces. The length of the hallway from the entrance to the meeting area is dynamically broken by timber panels and colourful sitting nooks. The nooks provide private spaces for work discussions, a quick break, or a Skype call. The colour scheme evokes the tones of the sea.

the light that attracts us: nocturnal animals

Fuorisalone, Milano - temporary installation

Collaboration: ZeroCollective

(Savina Radeva, Aleksandra Ivanova, Egle Skuodaite)

Year: 2019

Location: Milano, Italy

‘The Light That Attracts Us:Nocturnal animals’ is an installation particularly tailored to the atmosphere of the location - a tribute to Bar Bah, to Isola and to Milano. Inspired by the unique cultural mix of Isola’s nightlife the trio created a piece using neon lights to attract the ‘nocturnal’ clients of the venue. The illuminated art looks like distorted chaos when you see it from the street but it all resolves into a perfect 3D image when you reach the intended vantage point - the front door of Bar Bah. The interaction between the Isola neighbourhood and Bar Bah is highlighted by the collection of refective panels that constitute part of the installation. The slightly distorted images of Isola’s cityscape, photographed by the designers themselves, are printed on 3mm Dibond panels and fnished with dichroic flm. This part of the installation seeks to evoke the world of comic books and superheroes to enhance the urban character of venue.

salone del mobile_lapalma

Studio: Francesco Rota

Client: Lapalma

Year: 2018

Location: Milano, Italy

Studio Francesco Rota presented Lapalma’s Comfort Zone at Salone del Mobile 2018, the result of an extensive research on the ever more closer relationship between contract and home spaces.

The architecture of the stand is representative of this acute awarness of changing of behaviours. It is ballanced between the application of distinctively industrial materials such as the perforated metal sheets and the softness of the woods and the warm greys.

Client: Runaway Milano

Year: 2018

Location: Milano, Italy

The new concept store in zona Isola, Milano, puts together three different activities under one roof - sports store, restaurant bar and a yoga gym, all for the healthy lifestyle.

The interior interprets this idea of purity, movement and healthy living . The materials adopted are all honest natural fnishes - elm tree timbers, natural colour poured resin foor, exposed bricks. Big architectonic elements are protagonists in the interior design - massive central showcase counter and big common table, where everyone eats together.

Studio: GFAB Architects, Bali

Year: 2016

Location: Canggu, Bali Indonesia

Visualisations: Gamaliel Panggabean

Wu Xing - the fve elements, a traditional Chinese philosophy that says balance in universe is achieved upon the relation of the fve elements - Wood, Fire, Earth, Metal, and Water. The design of the luxurious fve star villa in Canggu, Bali lays upon these fve pillars

The fve elements concept unfolds in the space through the specifc use of materials and colour palettes. The elements of Earth, Wood and Metal provide comfort and security and therefore a combination of the three is the base for the design of the 4 private apartments and 2 duplex fats. Water is a fuid and moving element therefore it belongs to the entrance of the building, walkways, staircase and library. Fire is the element of the burning energy of cooking and eating - conceptually represented in the restaurant and bar.

one ocean club 10

Studio : El Equipo Creativo, Barcelona

Client: Marina Port Vell, Salamanca Group

Year: 2015

Location: Barcelona, Spain

Barcelona´s port - Marina Port Vell was transformed. A significant investment in the infrastructure and services was aimed at positioning the marina as one of the leading superyacht detinations in the world. A high-class restaurant equipped with lounge terrace, greenhouse terrace and a cocktail bar is to offer incredible experience to its visitors. The design proposal of El Equipo Creativo tries to re-create a Mediterranean feeling into the space- warm, soft, romantic.

The aim of the design is to enhance the views and to surround the customer with the specifc landscape qualities of its location. By using glossy lacquered surfaces in the ceiling of the restaurant, the calm water in the port is recalled and the hull of ships. This way the perception of the space is amplifed by bringing the exterior landscape inside.
