About the Cotillion As an alumni chapter of the first women’s sorority, founded in 1908 at Howard University, Alpha Kappa Alpha, Sorority, Incorporated, Delta Omega Omega Chapter seeks to serve all mankind and to implement national projects and program initiatives of our generation. With this in mind, Delta Omega Omega began the Debutante Ball Presentation in 1968 with 29 young ladies participating. Proceeds are used to provide scholarships for young African American women who wish to further their education and to provide financial support to community organizations.

This evening, we salute the Debutantes of 2021 as well as acknowledge the assistance and cooperation of the many businesses and friends who have contributed to the success of this endeavor.

Greetings, On behalf of the Delta Omega Omega Chapter members, it is my greatest privilege to extend to you the warmest welcome to our Fifty-Third Annual Debutante Cotillion.

Thank you for your support as we recognize and introduce our Debutantes.

As you embrace our theme: “Virtual Visions of Virtue and Grace” we realize that times may have changed, but the tradition to present beautiful young ladies into society with dreams and visions of the future remains the same. We appreciate you for being such an enthusiastic and esteemed participant. This year’s Debutants are the first to ever participate in the Cotillion during a global pandemic.

We congratulate our lovely Debutantes and present to you our best wishes! You have been planning and working for this memorable evening that will make history as the first “Virtual Debutante Cotillion”!

Working with such a creative, intelligent, and beautiful group of young women has been a pleasure for chapter members. We hope that the memories from the different activities, new friendships you have gained, and community service remain with you forever.

We want to extend special thank you to the parents of our Debutantes, as well as other relatives and friends. This night would not have been a success without your support, commitment, and participation.

Thank you, family, for sharing your daughter with us during this most memorable senior year.

Our chapter will continue to provide scholarships because of the generous support of our sponsors and patrons in the Souvenir Book. Your generosity allows us to contribute charitable contributions to local agencies and support our global initiatives.

We are blessed to have Tri-Chairmen and a team of committee members to coordinate and execute this Cotillion. We sincerely appreciate all the hard work.

Greetings to the 2021 Debutantes, We are honored to have you be a part of such a special occasion. Although, this year’s signature event was met with challenges of succeeding during a pandemic and altering many of our activities to keep your health a priority, you helped make this event a beautiful and memorable one. We have enjoyed getting to know and working with you.

The theme, “Virtual Visions of Virtue and Grace” is quite appropriate for such intelligent and talented young women. You have impressed us with your drive and your promise as current and future leaders of your schools and our communities, even in a virtual world. We have been blessed by our interactions with you and your parents. We are extremely honored to present you to the community at our 53rd Annual Debutante Cotillion.

It is our sincere wish that this experience has given you the opportunity to grow and develop, culturally, educationally and personally. We hope that you will treasure the new friendships and relationships that you have formed. May you continue to grow, mature, and meet future opportunities just as you have enthusiastically embraced the activities of the Cotillion.
