FIRST QUARTER 2016 MARKET BRIEFS

TABLE OF CONTENTS 3

2015 trends continue with median prices rising slightly while the number of transactions declines.

Sagaponack had the highest median sale price in the Hamptons this quarter at $5.5M, and the Village of East Hampton was a close second with a median price of $5.395M.

The Village of East Hampton had the highest total dollar volume this quarter with sales totaling $175.8M, nearly 1.9 times the sales volume of the Town of East Hampton, which ranked second with total sales volume of $92.4M.

The Town of East Hampton saw the highest number of sales at 81, and Hampton Bays ranked second with 39 sales, followed closely by the Town of Southampton with 38 sales.

In the first quarter, the top 10 home sales in the Hamptons totaled $262.9M, representing 33% of the area's total dollar volume.

A listing in the Village of Quogue sold for $11.2M this quarter ranking it among the top 10 sales this quarter and making it one of the few properties in western Southampton to have ranked in the top 10 sales in the last 5 years.
