Hello! The award-winning Coen Brothers are at it again with Focus Features' new comedy, A SERIOUS MAN opening Friday, October 16th. This dark comedy takes us though one Jewish man's exploration of questioning his faith, family responsibilities, academia, and morality, all to become: "A Serious Man." Please find out more information at and below. We are hosting a special advance screening of the film on Wednesday, October 14th and would like to invite your students to attend. I would be able to provide you with passes to the film and promotional items to distribute to students and residents. We have several different items and ideas we can provide you with. Below please see some suggested ideas: • Poster display in movie room (if applicable) • Featured meal in cafeteria themed around Jewish cuisine called: "A Serious Meal" • Enter To Win box at front desk • Email Blast to residents • Promotional Magnets into mailboxes • "Find A Serious Man" Photo contest in which residents take pictures of their most serious face and submit them to the front desk. The photos can then be displayed on a bulletin board to be judged. The participants and winners of this contest can receive promotional items including advance screening passes and T-shirts. • Coen Brothers movie marathon in movie room (if applicable). Trivia about the Coen Brothers can be given in between movies for a chance to win t-shirts, posters, and promotional items Please let me know what you think and if you are interested, I can send you the supplies as early as next week. I believe this will be a great film and opportunity for the students in resident life. Please feel free to call me or my supervisor Corinne with any questions! Thanks! Samantha Silver
