DECEMBER 2011 STATISTICS… WE HAVE SEEN A YEAR OF HISTORICALLY LOW INTEREST RATES, CONTINUED GOVERNMENT REBATE PROGRAMS AND REASONABLE HOME SALE PRICES. 2011 HAS ENDED WITH THIS DECEMBER RECORDING A 10 YEAR HIGH WITH $18,443,000 WORTH OF REAL ESTATE CHANGING HANDS, AND ADDING TO THE YEAR END TOTAL OF $328, 575,000. 10 OUT OF 12 MONTHS RECORDED HIGHER TOTALS THAN THE SAME MONTH IN 2010. THERE WERE 102 SALES IN DECEMBER AND AT YEAR END THERE WERE 770 LISTINGS ON THE MARKET. THE YEAR-END AVERAGE SALE PRICE FOR THE COUNTY IS $194,774. DESPITE THE RECORDS HIGHS, WE HAD A 3% INCREASE IN SALES, A 5% INCREASE IN LISTINGS, AND A 9% INCREASE IN TOTAL SALES VOLUME OVER 2010 WHICH EQUATES TO A NICE STEADY GROWTH IN OUR LOCAL ECONOMY. WE HAVE A VERY EXCITING ANOUNCEMENT: IT IS THE LAUNCH OF OUR NEW SARNIALAMBTONOPENHOUSE.CA SITE. THIS IS A NEW SITE IN WHICH BUYERS CAN LOG IN AND SEARCH UPCOMING OPEN HOUSES IN THEIR SPECIFIC PRICE RANGE AND DISTRICT, PRINT A LIST AND MAP A ROUTE TOO! WE ENCOURAGE EVERYONE TO CHECK IT OUT! -30-
