2008 Ford Ravenhawk Roadster A “Ravenhawk” was built by a company called Contemporary Classics, a company started by a retired Boeing engineer back in the early 2000’s. The car was built in 2008 and was registered and on the road in NY. The idea here was to make a car that looked like a 1933 Ford roadster but drove like something sold today. The base car is actually a C5 Corvette with all the drive train and chassis pretty much in place. It is meant to be reliable and be fixed at a Chevy dealer. The LS2 engine has 405 HP and it has a 6 speed manual transmission. It has power steering,

1947 MG TC

ESTIMATE $35,000-40,000 Despite a body style dating back to before WWII and an engine that only produced 54 h.p., the MG TC had a profound effect on the American automotive scene and launched the sports car movement of the late 40s. Compared to the large, softly sprung, and underpowered American cars of the period, the MG TC offered spritely handling and performance. This is a handsomely restored and AACA award winning example of the famous MG TC. The inline 4 cylinders XPAG engine is 1250cc mated to a 4-speed floor mounted gearbox. Top speed was some 75 mph, which was fine given the chassis and the drum brakes of the era. All TCs produced were right hand drive. This car has an extra set of special 19-inch wire wheels as used at Sebring. It also features rare front and rear bumpers,

most TCs were delivered with no protection front or rear. Further enhancing this TC are the Brooklands windscreens for use when the windshield is folded down The flowing fender lines, fold down windshield and slab gas tank with rear mounted spare combined with the tall wire wheels were in striking contrast to U.S. automotive styling of the period. Notably, this special TC comes complete with owners’ manual and original tool kit as well as a wooden dipstick for use as your fuel gage. This is truly an award winning MG TC in excellent condition that shows why the TC had such a major impact in this country.

1920 Ford T-Bucket Roadster ESTIMATE $80,000-90,000

It is rare that one has the opportunity to own not only an extraordinary Hot Rod but a cultural icon. Called The Lunchbox Special because in 1960 East coast Hot Rod builder legends Fred Steel and Don Spinney wanted to prove you could build a Hot Rod for less than $1,000. Inspired by Norm Grabowski’s Kookie T-Bucket built for the popular “hip” character on TV’s 77 Sunset Strip, Steel and Spinney went to work keeping things simple. Chrome was used only as accents; white and maroon paint and a 265 cid Chevy V-8 instead of a more expensive 283 or 327 Chevys

The Lunchbox Special becomes an icon for its place on the cover of the Ventures in Space album in which West coast meets East coast. The subject of numerous magazine articles. An original TyRods and L.A. Roadsters Club member. A true rolling piece of American History.

1971 Chevron B19 ESTIMATE $200,000-210,000 In the early 1980s, well-known professional driver, Brian Redman, was driving in vintage races for George Hurd, owner of Square A Motorcars. However, even with Brian’s experience and remarkable talent, the team was struggling to get to the top of the field with the cars that it was campaigning. During a conversation about the struggle, Brian remarked that they needed a different car if they were going to win races. George said, “Then get a car that can win”! Hence the purchase of the #47 Chevron B19 -- and win it did! For nearly two decades, Square A Motorcars and Brian literally dominated its class in the vintage racing scene. Powered by a Cosworth engine of just under 2 liters, the #47 red and silver Chevron out performed many larger displacement racecars at almost every race track. Light and nimble, the B19 was able to overcome any shortage in the horsepower department with phenomenal road holding and quick acceleration. West Palm Beach’s Moroso Park in March 1985 was the first outing for the Square A B19, which qualified on the pole and finished second in its race. Starting from 12th because of missed qualifying sessions, Brian was able to carve through the field and record the first win for the Chevron at Sebring in the second race of 1985. Several wins and podium finishes defined the first season for the Square A team. Starting the 1986 season, a first-ever event at Charlotte Motor Speedway, saw George Hurd’s Chevron take not only a first in class victory, but a first overall finish! Even when Brian Redman was not able to compete

because of conflicting commitments, the Square A Chevron was able to score overall/class victories in the hands of the always-quick Bertil Roos. Competing on a regular basis can take its toll on a racecar’s chassis, so in 1999 it was decided to take a year to completely restore the over-achieving warrior. The chassis was stripped down to the last nut and bolt, new aluminum panels were fabricated and every item was inspected, refurbished, or replaced if necessary. With a fresh start in 2000, the #47 Chevron B19 continued to rack up an impressive history of class and overall wins and podium finishes for the next four years. In July 2004, fittingly at the Brian Redman International Challenge Race, the Square A B19 retired from racing posting an impressive 2nd in class, 5th overall finish. A brilliant end to an outstanding race record. Following its retirement, the car has been meticulously cared for and maintained for the past eleven years by Bob Hubbs, George Hurd’s mechanic. Started and run on a regular basis, the B19 was, in effect, race-ready at a moment’s notice. It has just been serviced by Bob Russo, a very respected restoration specialist and race mechanic. Included in the sale are the the Redman log books and detailed track setup records. A comprehensive spares package is available separate from the auction sale.

1967 Austin-Healey 3000 BJ8 MK III ESTIMATE $110,000-125,000

One of the nicest 1967 Austin Healey BJ8’s in the country, this Austin-Healey was born from the Healey Hundred, first shown at the 1952 Earls Court Motor Show. British Motor Industry legend Sir Leonard Lord, soon convinced Healey that Austin should build the car and thus gave birth to the Austin-Healey 100. The Austin-Healey’s design and appeal as a true British Sports Car, resulted in strong sales across the globe in the late 1950’s and early 60’s. Over time the design and drive train matured to the 6-cylinder Austin-Healey 3000, which featured a more comfortable interior, improved braking, and suspension. 1967 would marque the last production model year of the Austin-Healey 3000, the last of the great “Big Healeys” and is considered by many to be the pinnacle of the Austin-Healey brand.

The body was fully prepped and totally repainted in beautiful “Sealing Wax Red”. The restoration shop used a two-stage system for the Axalta base coats and clear coats. The interior including the bench seat were not damaged in the fire and so is in pristine condition down to the period correct VW seat belts. In addition to the new power plant the truck was raised up to the stock level via adjustable front beam/rear spring plates. The wheels were replaced with the correct 15-inch steel wheels with the rims and front bumper repainted in white. The owner, a woodworking enthusiast, redid the truck bed with slats of hard maple and black walnut wood. All were finished with four coats of Spar Varnish and then locked in place. An interesting innovation on these VW trucks was the raised bed so wheel wells don’t interfere with the cargo space and all three sides are hinged and can fold down allowing full access for loading the bed…not that you would want to given the beautiful wood slats. Already a show award winner, this unique and beautiful VW pickup is certain to go on winning awards for the new owner.

1965 Sunbeam Tiger ESTIMATE $90,000-100,000

This LeMans Inspired version of a Tiger was recently restored and Runs & Drives Like a Dream. The original 260 ci Ford V-8 has been replaced with a 289. A 5 speed replaces the 4 speed. The red leather interior helps high light the black/white exterior. After World War 2, British car makers Allard, Nash-Healy, Bristol and Jensen all used American running gear. Why? Because American motors were plentiful and powerful. Buying motors was a lot cheaper than building your own. This especially true if you’re building less than 100 cars. The pinnacle of this thinking is when Carroll Shelby put V-8’s in an AC Ace and the Cobra legend was born. British car maker Sunbeam in the early ‘60’s built the Alpine. It was a very fine 2 seater with a 1700 cc 4 built to compete with MG and Triumph. Sunbeam wanted to make the Alpine more potent and found that a 260 ci Ford V-8, using a “shoe horn”, would fit in. The Alpine truly became a Tiger. All was fine until Sunbeam’s parent company was bought by Chrysler. The use of a Ford engine became impossible.

1950 Cadillac Series 61 For 1950 Cadillac made styling changes to differentiate it from Chrysler’s Imperial and New Yorker. 1969 International Scout 800A There is a fair amount of debate as to who made the first SUV. International-Harvester’s Scout 80 and 800, built from 1960-1969, can make a pretty good claim. This white cream 800 offered for auction has an optional Sportop and for very serious off road, powered by I-H’s 304 cu in V-8 with 4 Speed makes 193 horsepower. She also has a Granny first gear for those who are serious off roaders though I doubt most would want to get such a pretty truck dirty. The SUV does have a famous past. 1961 Jaguar Mark II This MK II received an extensive restoration two years ago. The XK engine in this car was completely rebuilt and has only some 250 miles since. It has a new exhaust manifold and the owner has installed a stainless steel exhaust system. He also replaced the shocks and springs so the car handles as a Jaguar should. The inline 3.4 liter six is feed by two SU carburetors and the transmission is the highly desirable floor mounted four speed with overdrive. In its day the 3.4 liter engine produced 210 h.p. and a top speed of well over 100 m.p.h. The two-tone grey paint on this particular MK II perfectly compliments the sweeping lines of the MK II. The grill and front of the car closely resembles that of its sports car cousin the XK150. The interior is beautiful as well with a walnut veneer dash, multiple gauges in front of the driver, a row of toggle switches in easy reach and comfortable bucket leather seats, blue in this car. The back seat features drop down wood trays and a leather armrest in the middle of the bench seat. This car has been meticulously restored and maintained by an owner who takes real pride in his work, even the underside is spotless. This is an opportunity to own a beautiful MK II, the most successful classic Jaguar sedan ever created.

Recently serviced, this XJ8 runs and drives excellent. The 4.2L V8 has 294 HP. Black over black we are offering this XJ at no reserve. The new Jaguar XJ. It gets a much-needed boost in interior space and creature comforts and grows a bit bigger outside. Changes such as these tend to add bulk, which is then compensated for with a larger-displacement engine. But in the interests of improved gas mileage and lower carbon-dioxide emissions (which are taxation issues in some parts of Europe), Jaguar has reversed this upward spiral by building the ‘04 XJ’s body of aluminum. The monocoque body shell is 300 pounds lighter than it would be in steel, and the XJR model now weighs in at 200 pounds less than its predecessor.

Vintage Gas Pumps and Air Stations One of the best known automobilia restoration artists is reducing his personal collection of historic gas pumps and air stations and has consigned 8 of them to the Saratoga Auto Auction. Jesse Kaska has been around this hobby from a very young age. He learned the trade from his father who was a pioneer in the business. Kaska, from a small town north of the Adirondacks and just south of the Canadian border, has a collection of some 40 vintage gas pumps accumulated over the years while working in his hobby/business of finding and restoring some 20 such pumps a year. Today, his work is found in major automobile collections across the county. He says restoring gas pumps is much like restoring a car.You take the pump apart, sand blast the body down to bare metal, take out any dents and then repaint it using high quality automotive paints, matching the original colors before giving it a clear coat. The internal mechanics are removed because, as Kaska puts it, to eliminate that gasoline odor and make the pumps lighter. All the lights and other fixtures are accurate replacement parts and do work. In fact, the air stations also work.

1924 FRY MODEL 117 TEXACO 10 GALLON

1950’S ECO 97 AIR TOWER

One of his favorite restored gas pumps is the highly desirable 1924 Fry model 117 in its original Texaco paint. It is nicknamed a “Mae West” because of its curvy lines. These very tall pumps are known as “visible 10 gallon” models because the customer would use a hand pump to fill a 10-gallon glass cylinder at the top to measure out how much gasoline they were buying. There is one other “visible ten-gallon” pump in the auction and Kaska says all of the pumps and air stations he has consigned are rare and of the highest quality. Kaska will be at the auction, as he was last year, to help the buyers with their newly restored vintage automobilia.

Ferrari had hoped to topple McLaren’s dominance, and following suit with Tyrrell Racing, bolting fitted ‘side-wings’ atop the sideboards

Paul Newman Racing Gloves

Michael Schumacher Bell Formula 1 Ferrari Replica Helmet We offer this high-quality replica helmet, a spectacular tribute to Grand Prix racing legend Michael Schumacher. The seven-time Formula One world champion wore this one-off design style for the 1998 Japanese Grand Prix at Suzuka. From his first Formula One victory in the 1992 Belgian Grand Prix to his last in the 2006 Chinese Grand Prix, Schumacher racked up an astounding total of 91 Grand Prix wins.

Paul Newman Race Suit This suit is from 1986. 1986 was one of the few years PLN did not have a major sponsor (post Diet Coke and pre Planter Peanuts), so he put in his own $ in and renamed the team Newman- Sharp Racing. He split his schedule in 1986 between IMSA GTO, TransAm, and GT-1 . There were no notable drives in GTO, and his Trans-Am performances were less than consistent. He competed in 6 Trans-Am races, qualifying no better than third. He did though, have a great win in Lime Rock, holding off Elliot Forbes-Robinson to claim his second and last Trans-Am victory of his career. On that day, at age 61, on his home track, Newman became the oldest driver to notch a Trans-Am win. It’s a record that still stands! This suit was wells used in that period and shows that wear. Suit is accompanied by A COA from Newman’s publicist of that period, who was given the suit to auction for the Scott Newman foundation, created in the memory of his only son.

Š2017 Porsche Cars North America, Inc. Porsche recommends seat belt usage and observance of all traffic laws at all times.

The line between sports car and sedan. Blurred beyond recognition. An uncompromised duality of form and performance, the new Panamera contradicts every notion of a sedan. The bold new exterior design and interior advancements, including the connectivity of Porsche Connect, are complimented with a powerful 4.0L V8 twin-turbo engine that delivers 550 horsepower. This is one blisteringly quick duality. Porsche. There is no substitute.

The new Panamera Turbo.
