BIBB CITY PUBLIC LIBRARY The form of this library came about from an intersection of two courtyards and the axis that coneects them. The entrances on either side of the library are tied together by the materiality of the wood running through the building that defines the axis of movement. This axis allows for a sequence of spaces upon entering, including a glass-enclosed gallery, a collaborative study room, an energetic circulation area, and a spatially enlightening public meeting room. Elements of this library encourage a variety of civic functions and unique spaces creating memorable experiences, establishing the building as a permanent and significant part of the community.
