Photography Inspiration

Growing up I always knew the left side of my brain was more prominent. Whether, it was on the field when playing sports, or expressing myself through creative dance... I always was able to see design in almost anything and everything. I enjoy spending my spare time in countless tea shops, exploring the city, or creating my own adventure somewhere outdoors. When I am not spending countless hours with my orange cat, Elvis, I love connecting with others. I am a “people person” and love to laugh.

I am inspired how design can bring people together. I eat, dream, and breathe design. It is who I am. -Sarah Rene’ Groce

PROFESSIONAL WORK

While on the BHDP, I was able to work on a building for Caresourse Healthcare. These floor plans were done by the Workplace team and I was able to go back and make a spacial plan.

While on the BHDP interior workplace team, I rendered materials and furniture in the Sketchup model and later went back and self rendered in Photoshop. This is an example of the work we did in one of the Amenity / community space areas.

I created this finish board to send to a Major Financial Service Provider. I was able to pick materials that would work best for the clients needs and wants.

While on the BHDP interior workplace team, I was able to work on projects for a Major Financial Service Provider. The floor plans were created in Revit and I created a carpet/ paint finish plan on InDesign, so the clients could see first hand where they would be.

TAKE IT TO THE STREET

I created a campaign for a Cincinnati local and strategically chose a location and design for a “pop-up campaign office in Smale park. The candidates passion for community and nature, shaped the design of the office. The challenge was that the space was restricted to the size of a parking space, 10ft by 20ft. Photoshop and InDesign were used to create logos for campaign on the left page. AutoCad and Rhino were used to create the renderings shown on the next two pages.

DESK STUDY

I took inspiration from Eileen Gray’s 1928 Tea Table and created my own twist on her table by adding layers, compact and slide aspects. These were modeled in Rhino and would later be able to adjust to ones personal needs.

I took inspiration from Eileen Gray’s 1928 Tea Table and created my own twist on the table using AutoCad, Rhino, and Illustrator. In the top right I modeled three types of chairs in rhino that were inspired by her original design.

DRAWINGS

Second year students were to recreate a self rendered piece from Piranesi. In this freehanded piece I only used the method of cross-hatching. This took 21 hours and was I was successful with the depth perceived through various line weight.

Students were assigned an 11X17 section of The School of Athens to compose with oil pastels. The picture on the right is my final piece and it is shown in the full scale picture on the left.

FOLLY

First year students were to plan, design, and build a life size 12ft by 12ft folly structure. We started sketching by hand, then took our finial designs and measurements into Rhino and AutoCad before we cut the wood and assembled ourselves.
