UP PR’s suggested marketing strategies for Pretty Boy clothing. These strategies are a brief outline of the changes and improvements that UP PR hopes to work on in the future to enhance the brand.

Website development The brands simplistic website approach works well however current images on the site are not the brands own images. Promotional shoots and look books provided by UP PR to be used on the website to attract customers. The website will be kept up to date and ensure that new collections are posted as soon as they are available to purchase Out of stock items – when stock is low set a system up that will begin production of new stock immediately to ensure no loss in sales Female clothing and childrens clothing launch Promotional shoots for new product launch. Online Distribution Look at collaborating with other companies e.g. ASOS, BANK, Urban outfitters etc. Store Opening Something that could be considered for the future, as the brand develops the demand for a retail store will increase. Events UP PR showcase event and brands own launch event Celebrity endorsement and product placement Use celebrity endorsements as advertising. Targeting the right celebrities to support Pretty Boy will increase customer base and reach out to a larger audience. Advertising Promotional images constantly updated which will attract customers to website (Use images provided by UP PR) Social networking Constant updates - Employ someone to work on social networking for the brand. Competitions on social networks are free advertising when customers share competitions on their Facebook/ Twitter/ Instagram.

Logo: redesign the logo - The logo currently suggests that the brand is a dance wear clothing company The brand developed originally from dance wear and moved very quickly into a fashion label and has never been updated. The logo needs to be recognisable, aesthetically pleasing and non suggestive. Website : The website is currently under construction however UP PR suggests that colours on the website need to be changed as they distract away from brands garments. Layout needs to become more simplistic as it is currently confusing and complicated to navigate around the web page. Stockists: Brand currently sells online on 5 different websites – look into expanding the stockists in store sales in the UK and America as 50% of the brands customer base come from the US. Customer: Push the Large US customer base – promote more to worldwide customers not just the UK. Social network is updated regularly but competitions don’t promote as much as they could – get current customers to share and like the page to win garments. Advertisement: Increase budget for advertising as this will help increase sales. Look at magazine advertising as well as online. Events: Showcase event with UP PR Launch event for new website/ SS collection Miami Metropolitan international fashion week – great start in expanding the brand to the US. Attend as many events in the US as possible. Celebrity endorsement and product placement Using celebrity endorsments as advertising. Choosing the right celebrity to support Dancing Dolls UK will increase customer base and reach out to a larger audience.

Female clothing launch: Use images supplied by UP PR to launch female clothing. Awareness through the website, social media and word of mouth. Organise launch event. Website: Develop and update website to increase female sales. Next day delivery option – currently a huge demand for this. Give the brand a personality – Update the ‘About’ page to show the story of how the brand began, include ethos and background of the brand. Use UP PR promotional shoot on page. This will attracts the attention and encourage customers to purchase the garments when viewing the clothing worn by models. Product Placement: Continue with the sucessful product placement and celebrity endorsement as currently working very well for the brand. Social networking: Increase online promotions – competitions give customers the chance of winning free garments but also acts as free advertisement and promotion for the brand. Distribution: Look into distributing in store – the brand would work well in stores such as BANK, Street Casual and Footasylum. Event UP PR showcase event and brands own launch event. Advertising Promotional images of new S/S collection and new female clothing need to be shot to attract customer’s attention to site. Brand Collaboration: Working with other new up and coming brands to help increase customer base.

Website: Create new website – currently on big cartel Work on print techniques – is there a more cost effective way of printing tshirts but still keeping each one unique? Social Networking: Develop social network – update Facebook and Twitter pages. Get an Instagram page. Social network competitions – get current customers to share and like the site for the chance to win a t-shirt etc. Advertising: Look into working with local magazines such as Crack magazine , Platform. Also on a bigger scale such as paid advertisements in company magazine as they support new brands. Events: Showcase event by UP PR and brands own launch event. (Could launch Milk Magazine at the same time) Celebrity Endorsement: Collaborate with musicians and DJ’s- get them wearing and promoting the brand across the country. Profit margin: Increase price of t-shirts – very minimal profit being currently made. After research into brands sales it has come to my attention that people would be wiling to pay more for the t-shirts Distribution: Future stockists – Begin with the brands own website and expand to other online websites such as ASOS Marketplace. Staff: Employee another member of staff, turn around from order to postage can currently take up to 10 days this is due to their only being one member of staff on board.
