We d d i n g s
Welcome I am so glad you found me! In this booklet you will learn all you need to know about working with me.
My couples are alot like me: adventurous fun, down-to-earth, and living life to it's fullest... ...WITH CELEBRATIONS ROOTED IN LOVE, FAMILY, NATURE AND UNIQUE TRADITIONS. I work to build a plan for the day’s photography that feels effortless and highlights the authentic moments. Comfort and connection are key in the photographer/ client relationship and the pictures will reflect who you really are and what the day means to you. My style is fine-art, which means an interpretive, artistic, and documentary approach to capturing the event. I emphasize natural light and candid moments, focusing on love, beautiful details and people. I don’t believe that your photographs need to be fake, or overly stylized, but instead honest moments of being together. Part of my process is getting to know you and making sure that it’ s a great fit before booking your wedding. I am lucky enough to work with amazing couples who end up feeling like old friends. My clients value beautiful photography, and make it a priority in the timing of their day. Finding the right photographer is a priority because we will spend your whole day together, the more comfortable and beautiful you feel infront of the camera the more authentic and amazing your wedding images will be.
“Love is a temporary madness, it erupts like volcanoes and then su have to make a decision. You have to work out whether your roots inconceivable that you should ever part, because that’s what love
ubsides. And when it subsides you s have so entwined that it is is."
13 Sarah's Story For the past eight years I have had the honor of being a part of countless celebrations of love and commitment all over Maine, the North East and destinations across the world. I fell for photography when my Dad's Mum, Nancy, gave me her 1964 Pentax K-100 camera and I shot, developed and printed my first rolls of film in the darkroom. Fastfoward fifteen year and I have a university degree in Fine-Art Photography and Photojournalism. I've lived from Portland, Oregon, to Seattle, WA, to Boston and back to Maine where my heart lived. I have worked as a photojournalist and editorial photographer and have been lucky enough to travel the world capturing the things, people and places I see. Photography has allowed me to meet unique, joyful people, to explore new places, and to document a part of life that is deeply meaningful: love, culture and relationships. I'm invested in making beautiful, timeless images, and in photography being a fun and memorable part of your wedding day. I travel hard, work hard, laugh hard and roll with the punches gracefully. Home is Portland, Maine, my absolute favorite place on earth. I miss the salty sea air and the rocky coast when I'm gone... but nowhere is too far to travel for an adventure. This is my story and I am honored to be a part of yours. Places I frequent: Guatemala | Nova Scotia | Germany | London Seattle | San Fransisco | Northern CA | Portland

Your Wedding Timeline The Flow Wonderful weddings require a bit of advance planning to feel effortless and memorable on the day. A timeline will help you in this process. Getting Ready 1 to 2 hours Be sure to choose a location for getting ready with enough natural light and a setting that you feel reflects the rest of your wedding day. We like to allow 1 to 2 hours for getting ready photography, this is when we capture candid moments with your closest loved ones and set the scene with details. First Look / Reveal 20 minutes This is optional, but many couples find it's really nice to see eachother and have photographs before their ceremony, to maximize time spent enjoying the festivities. Please account for driving time if this location is away from the venue. Formal Group and Family Portraits 30 to 45 minutes Group portrait timing will vary widely depending on the number of family combinations, we carefully craft a list of these combination and estimate the length of time prior to the timeline being finalized. Wedding Party 30 minutes This time can vary and depends on location, size of wedding party, etc. Your Reception 2 to 6 hours Cocktails and beer, your first moments as a married couple, dinner, dancing, friends and family together. Sunset Portraits 15 minutes Sunset portraits! This is absolutely my favorite time to step away from the party briefly to capture some amazing golden hour portraits of you together, reveling in the amazing day.
Every wedding is unique and planning a timeline with us ensures that you don't miss a minute of this time or an opportunity for a timeless photograph.

This is a once in a lifetime opportunity to celebrate this time in your relationship. More than anything - a wedding day can fly by and be a whirlwind. 30 A no te f rom Al y s s a an d P a t r i c k . . . Sarah was amazing! We are so happy we found Sarah on the Knot site! She was an instant connection right away. She has a great eye and sense of lighting and composition, it was apparent that she had exactly what I was looking for in a photographer for my wedding. Our first meeting was over a video conversation chat on Skype. She answered all of our questions and seemed so knowledgeable. Patrick and I left that first conversation already knowing she was the one and my worries were at ease immediately. Our engagement photos were beautiful. She took the time to come out to a location we loved in Maine, an d we got some amazing shots. She is so natural behind the camera and with us one on one.
At our wedding she exceeded our expectations! She went above and beyond to get all the shots I had always wanted, she just "got it". We did so many shots before the wedding with my bridesmaids, of my dress and the setting, and she got some amazing shots of first looks and my husband and I in a field. She even snuck us off during the reception to do super secret long exposure photos, under the starry sky on the coast in the water. The photos turned out incredible! We could not be more excited to have worked with Sarah. She truly is an amazing artists and photographer. And she made our big day come to life! We recommend her over and over again.
Q&A Will you travel for my wedding? Absolutely! I am available for weddings internationally, and my travels fees are minimal. I have photographed all over Maine, New England, North America, Canada and Europe... and I can't wait to add more to the list! Do you have a second photographer? Yes, I work with my associate photographer Jo, and a handful of other trusted part-time assistant photographers. My second photographers are incredibly professional and share my aesthetic and style. They have all have extensive experience photographing weddings. How do we book our wedding with you!? To book a date a in-person or video meeting is required. Once we have connected, a 50% of your choosen package, fees, and sales tax is required as a retainer, along with a signed contract. How do you accept payment? Credit card (with processing fee), cash, check, Paypal (with fee). Are you insured? Yes, I have liability and equipment insurance for myself and my assistants. Do you charge sales tax? Sales tax is dependent on the state in which you live.
What if your camera breaks? I am are always prepared for this and have extra Canon lenses, flashes and bodies. What do we expect after the wedding? After the wedding I provide a preview of a handful of images within 2 weeks. When creating your wedding gallery, each image is hand selected and edited carefully to tell a story. This process takes 4 - 10 weeks. Rush processing is available for an additional fee. How are our images delivered? Images are delivered as a digital download through my website and your on line gallery. As Images are provided in high resolution print quality. How many images should we expect? The image count varied based on your chosen package and coverage. For an 8 hour wedding day with a second photographer approximately 600-1000 images are expected. What is a “first look”? A first look is a time before the wedding ceremony when you two have a reveal and take private moment to reflect. This is a great opportunity to take photographs and potentially complete most of the portraits so that they don’t interrupt the postceremony festivities.
A note from Bryce + Michael. . . Working with Sarah was one of the best wedding decisions we made! She is incredibly talented, creative, professional, accommodating, passionate, so much fun to work with, and her portfolio speaks for itself! Sarah was prompt and professional in all communications leading up to our engagement shoot and our wedding. She made us feel incredibly comfortable in front of the camera, and went out of her way to accommodate and create some of the wacky shots we had in mind. She also recommended some incredible vendors which we loved and hired. Sarah was instrumental in planning our wedding day timeline, and even drove my husband and I around between our first look and ceremony because we had forgot to arrange transportation! We love her vision and our photos look incredible. Sarah was also such a calming presence to us on our hectic wedding day, and did an amazing job corralling our crazy families. Sarah brought two amazing photographers to our wedding, Jo and Blair, and they also brought endless creativity, enthusiasm and professionalism. We love Sarah Morrill Photography and give her our highest recommendation!.
