2000 Vivian Ave. Clovis, New Mexico 88101 May 15, 2014 Office of the Secretary U.S. Department of the Interior 1849 C Street Washington, D.C. 20240 To whom it may concern:

I would like to apply for the Paralegal Specialist position that you posted through My office experience and extensive knowledge of legal matters that I acquired as a Political Science major would allow me to be an employee of merit within this division of the Department of the Interior. During my time at the University of New Mexico, I majored in Political Science with an emphasis in pre-law studies as it pertains to constitutional law. Through such studies, I gained a thorough knowledge of not only political and legal matters, but also knowledge and experience in issue-spotting within legal documents. I have an understanding the general laws that surround us, both local and federal, and while I do not have an incredibly extensive knowledge of very particular subject matter law, I do have the desire to learn and work with such law. The job description states that this position involves office work and the handling of sensitive information. I believe that my experience at ENMRSH, Inc. helped to prepare me for such an environment. After working within an office that provides services to disabled people, I understand the importance of maintaining confidentiality. I believe my knowledge of handling confidential information would be beneficial to the goals of a paralegal specialist. My work at ENMRSH also allowed me to learn how to use various office machines, such as copiers, scanners, Microsoft and Apple operating platforms, and Microsoft word applications. Therefore, I would be able to fulfill the clerical work required of this position. Thank you for your consideration. I am very interested in this position, and I hope to hear from you soon. Should you need to contact me, my preferred phone number is (575)-799-7691 and my preferred e-mail is Have a wonderful day! Sincerely,
