palette of materials already employed on
the campus should be used as a
source book for future
material choices. The binding commonality of appropriate materials should have more to do with color, texture and character than with literal replication of what has been used before. A wide variety of stone types as well as a range of brick colors, terra cotta types, concrete finishes and metals may all be appropriate both singularly and in combination with each other.
