Bureau of Engraving and Printing FW Located in Fort Worth, Texas, the Western Currency Facility (WCF) Public Tour and Visitor Center is a great place to learn about U.S. currency. Visitors can see billions of dollars printed from an enclosed walkway, which is suspended above the production floor! Two floors of interactive exhibits and displays showcasing currency history and the intricate art of currency manufacturing are available before or after the free self-guided tour. Laughter exercises provide the benefits of lower blood pressure, lower blood sugar levels, and increased endorphins which help with pain relief. Saturday, March 22 and Sunday, March 23 It’s time to pack your family (or friends), tents and sleeping bags and head to Pilot Knoll Park for a family campout. The activities will include a tent decorating contest, s’mores, late night movie, and more! Fifty dollars per campsite (up to 4 campers, each additional camper $10). Easter Egg Hunt Saturday, April 12 • 10:00 a.m. at Unity Park Each year the City of Highland Village holds their annual Easter Egg Hunt at the Unity Park baseball/softball field facility located behind Briarhill Middle School. This event is free to the public and includes pictures with the Easter Bunny (please bring your own camera), face painting, fire engine, and a bounce house. Highland Village Kids Kamp Highland Village Parks and Recreation Department has planned a summer for your children they will never forget. Join us in the mornings for organized games and activities and then stick around in the afternoon for field trips you won’t find offered by any other kamp out there! Celebrate Highland Village Celebrate the beginning of summer with our Celebrate Highland Village event on Saturday, June 7. The event will begin at Unity Park with a 1k/5k walk/run, a family fish out and our Arbor Day Proclamation and the giving away of Texas native Redbud trees. Then that evening head over to Pilot Knoll Park for music, food, drinks, kids activities and a spectacular fireworks display on the shores of Lake Lewisville.
