THE LOGO

Horizontal

Nic describes her business as joyful, bold and warm. These three words could also be used to describe her photography style. Because of this, I wanted her logo to embody each of these descriptors. The combination of the highcontrast serif font, and the handwritten script gives the logo both a professional but personal feel. Then as a small nod to Nic’s photo style and added a simple sun burst above “by”. She often plays with sun flares and loves golden hour, so this touch is a tribute to how she works.

BUSINESS CARDS For Nic’s business cards I wanted to showcase the different types of portraits she does. While she primarily is a wedding photographer, she also does family portaits. By having multiple images showcased she can select an image that will best fit her potential client’s needs.

ABOUT Going to college in Chicago was one of the best experiences I’ve had. When given the opportunity to make a magazine about whatever I wanted, I chose to showcase why I loved Chicago.

THE PHOTOS The photos were all taken by me. This magazine was a great opportunity for me to combine my love of photography with page layout and design. I enjoyed capturing how the city looks at different times of day. Chicago at dawn and Chicago at dusk are two completely different cities.

BRANDING Your Money Show Finance Radio Show & Podcast Logo design, brand identity development

THE LOGO

Horizontal

“Your Money” is a radio show primarily airing in the midwest. However the number of people listening to radio talk shows is rapidly declining, which lead to a strategy shift with the “Your Money” show. Rather than being strictly a radio show, it is in the process of being made into a podcast and will have a much stronger social media presence. The “Your Money” show didn’t have a brand, so that was the first step. Establishing an identity that was adjacent to the Wealth Enhancement Group brand. The logo was created to be contemporary and fun but still feel trustworthy and reliable. It was important that “Your Money” appeals to a wide audience of all ages.

PODCAST COVER ART The goal for the podcast art was to really let the decorative typeface shine and showcase the title of each episode.

SOCIAL MEDIA GRAPHICS The look and feel of the cover art was then carried over to social media posts to create a cohesive, recognizable look for the brand.

WEBPAGE REDESIGN The last piece of this brand project was to create a landing page on our website for the “Your Money” content to populate.

EVENT BRANDING Metro Client Appreciation Overall identity for event, email imagery, invitations, signage

ABOUT MCAE

THE ARTWORK

The biggest event we host is our Metro Client Appreciation Event, bringing in almost 2,000 local clients. This annual event was last held at the Minnesota Zoo which allowed for some fun and whimsical designs.

Because this event is family-oriented, I went with continuous line drawings of animals the zoo has. The line drawings were rendered keeping our value of simplicity in mind, which is why they are very minimal.

EMAIL BANNERS The main form of communication with this event is via email. Clients would receive a handful of emails leading up to the event and after the event, so multiple banners needed to be created. It was important that they were all different but cohesive.

PAGE LAYOUT LGBTQ+ Playbook

PUBLICATION DESIGN LGBTQ Playbook

ABOUT We produce playbooks covering one topic we feel clients and potential clients might find beneficial. One of our more recent playbooks addresses financial hurdles the LGBTQ+ community face and why a financial advisor can help them. The purpose of a playbook is to both inform and hopefully gain interest from a potential client. These pieces are often extremely text heavy and deal with complex topics. My job is to make it visually interesting, balanced and easier to understand through the infographics and layout I create.
