Otoùo 2018 - Invierno 2019 / Proyecto final de maestría This project deals with the perennity and future use of the Molson brewery buildings, the site being a Montreal industrial heritage. Each building of this enormous complex offers a different potential. This project proposes a multi-use program at the urban scale, and especially develops a socioculturel sector at the architectural scale. In fact, the architectural project focalizes on a center of arts, sheltered in the older buildings of the site. The Molson Brewery has been part of the industrial and riverside cultural landscape of Montreal for more than 200 years. It combines historic, symbolic, environmental and economic hertiage values. Some noticeable elements are the Molson billboard with the clock, the cheminy and the exterior beer reservoirs. The management of water usage, the permeability of the surfaces, the accessibility of the site as well as its permanence are guiding concepts of the proposal. The goal of this project is to take advantage of the heritage values and augment the missing social values of the site. The multiple interventions take into account the existing buildings and the environment to aim at sustainable project. Otoño 2017 / Metodos de pensamiento de constructions The exercice consisted in representing complicity between materials. This light fixture, made with Vincent Bélanger and Rime Naanaa, is inspired by simple shapes. The wooden base is assembled with a stacking method. For the illuminating element, acrylic plastic lets through a soft light. These two elements translate tangibly and visually the constructive logic of stacking. The steel disk, slid between two layers of the wooden base, becomes a reflector. Connivance is expressed through the light’s heat, tactile and tonal, that links these layers together.

Otoño 2017 / Studio : Diseño urbano In the context of a studio on the urban relationship of the St-Charles river in Quebec city, it seemed necessary to us to intervene on the North sector of the St-Roch and St-Sauveur neighborhoods. The overall idea of the project was done in a team of four but the sector presented here was elaborated with Vincent Bélanger. The intervention sector is limited by the Pointe-aux-Lièvres park (at the northern point in the plan below), the Victoria park and the St-Roch Marina. This triangle of public realms is fractured by the Laurentian autoroute. The linear park of the St-Charles river acts as an impermeable limit between urban life and the riverside experience. Our intentions were therefore to give back access to these natural public areas and to densify this zone since it is central to many residential neighborhoods and central relatively to Quebec city.

Our strategy was to : transform the autoroute into a boulevard, trace new roads, densify the area and design it with two guiding concepts. The concepts connect the urban parks, the river shores and the urban life at the pedestrian scale. One of concepts was to recall the ancient path of the river since its badly healed scar is still a affects the urban fabric. Historically, the shape of the river was more irregular and sinuous. The hearts of the blocks that coincide with the old path of the river thus have humid environments. We see it as an opportunity to increase the urban interfaces with water, allowing access to nature to the public, semi-public and semi-private spheres. The second concept is a pedestrian route that connects the shore in the Victoria park and the St-Roch Marina by passing on a new commercial street ponctuated by a public square hosting an ice-rink in the winter.

Invierno 2018 / Studio : Patrimonio This project is done with fellow student Vincent BĂŠlanger. The Marcoux mill is situated at Pont-Rouge on the bank of the Jacques-Cartier river and 40 minutes from Quebec city. This heritage classified building is used as a cultural center, including the Lynda-Lemay concert hall. We proposed an extension to improve, on the one hand, the conviviality of the reception and socialization spaces, and on the other hand to facilitate the standardization and modernization of the mecanical systems. We give a lot attention to the outdoor spaces since some of the current issues are visibility from the road and urban interaction. Our philosophy consists of a contemporary architectural and structural language that yet underlines the strengths of the existing building and improves functional permiability and access to sunlight. 30

Invierno 2015 / Studio II: habitabilidad y poesía del espacio Situated on the south shore of Quebec city, this cabin is inspired by the verticality of the rectilinear tree plantation on the lot. The floor area is minimal to encourage the occupants to experience the outdoors, to live simply, and to have a small imprint on the ground. The volumetry reinterprets the verticality of the surrounding trees. A vertical experience is proposed inside. The entrance is done by descending a few steps. Therefore, the first floor is a half basement and the wide opening allows to be at eye level with the outdoor ground. Each floor gives a unique and different view on the trees until the accessible rooftop that is above the tree tops. 38

Ve r a n o 2 0 1 6 / D i s e Ăą a d o r a a s i s t e n t e d e i n t e r i o r e s During 10 weeks, I was mandated to propose possible renovations for the common areas of this hostel under the supervision of Caroline Duplain, director of the hostel, and Elisabeth Jobin, interior designer. They gave me instructions and suggestions; I produced the 3D model, plans and ideas. The ambiance perspectives I made were used to build a file to request funding for the future renovations, the hostel being managed by a not-for-profit organization. I proposed a planning with the intent of being better adapted to the activities and circulation by displacing many functions, including the front desk, and by opening up certain walls.
