To Whom It May Concern: This letter documents that Sarah Rumple successfully completed an internship with the Environmental Protection Agency, Region 8, Office of Communication and Public Involvement during the timeframe June-July 2010. During her time at EPA she worked with the Public Affairs and Involvement Program on several projects. She was one of a team that researched and compiled a list of questions and answers to be incorporated in the Frequently Asked Questions section of the Libby Asbestos Superfund site web page. She and a team mate organized and, in some cases, edited the questions and responses. Her work was well organized and extremely thorough. Her initial compilation of questions and answers gives the team a real head start on getting the web page on line. She also helped the California Gulch Superfund site team update portions of the site Community Involvement Plan and the site email contact list. In every instance, I found her work to be well written and extremely thorough. Sarah didn’t wait for us to tell her how to do the work. She struck out on her own and made decisions. She is a “quick study” who seems to understand the task immediately. Her cheerful, energetic and enthusiastic attitude made her a delightful co-worker. We very much enjoyed having her with us for the internship.

Sincerely,

Sonya S. Pennock, Supervisor Office of Communications and Public Involvement Public Affairs and Involvement Program.
