The second model has used the star shape to create a bench ith specific angles. The third model has used different size of trapezoid to create a open area with interior ans exterior. METAL SPIEAL LINE AND SPACE, 2016 Project Description and Vision Concept: Freedom The objective of this project is to use different types of curves and lines to create a new space within a architecture. By making the copper wire into different curve, such as, reverse curve, catenary curve, spiral curve, and directional curve, are to create an exterior and interior space and those curves would create volumes.


Early Process The research began with learning the different curves from different architectures and how to create a space within each curve. After research, the limits of the curve would allow support to the design. The first model is beginning with two reverse heart curves to create an upper space and lower space which allow people experience different view by standing on different height. The second model is using one U-shape curve and lines which create a seating space for people. The third model is design by spiral curve which create different size of individual spaces within one big space.

NESTLE FUNCTION SCULPTURE, 2016 Project Description and Vision Concept: Wing The project goal of this model is to design a comfortable siting area for student who have outdoor sketching class. This place was located at the front of the building 1 A which is the art building that for student to study sketching from nature.


To solve the issue of uncomfortable siting area, high temperature and too much sunlight during the summer. The model was design to structural of line and curve to create different angles and use different colors to solve the problems. First of all, the side has used the woods to create lines to allow appropriate amount of sunlight go through to the wall to create a beautiful and suitable shadow for students when they work. Moreover, by using a white color roof, it can reflect the sunlight away and reduce the temperature.

DANZIGER STUDIO 7001 MELROSE AVE, LOS ANGELES, CA Project Description and Vision Danziger Studio is build Completed in 1965, the Danziger Studio and Residence was one of Gehry’s first buildings to receive widespread attention. It is Late Modern/Minimalist in style and contains two simple cubes offset from each other to form a private courtyard. The property is inward-facing, presenting only blank walls to the street and further protecting its privacy with a wall around the courtyard. Entirely clad in a gray rough stucco of the type sprayed onto freeway overpasses.

COMPE TITION Introduction The 2019 IIDA Student Design Competition is to design several critical areas within a new ASC being constructed. The design is to allow the physicians, along with the health system, to increase efficiency and create a seamless patient experience through architecture and thoughtful design. The project also consider as part of the space planning course to programming, behavioral factors of space, and proxemics as they apply to the layout and planning of interior environments.

HOSPITEL AMBULATORY SURGERY CENTER (ASC) CHARLOTTE, NORTH CAROLINA Project Description and Vision Design an ambulatory surgery center environment for a new technology hospital in Charlotte, North Carolina for more than thousand of patients a day, in the future. By using sustainable design, it not only benefits the environment and the wellbeing of the users but is also financially affect the community. To create a space that a spa-like feel and sense of calmness and well-being for patients to reduce their stress, natural materials, such as, wood can provide a relax and comfortable space. By increasing efficiency and create a seamless patient experience, the new facility would be flexible and allow for growth due to the changing landscape of healthcare from volume-based care to value-based care.

Concept HospiTel is the integration of hospital and hotel, which is inspired by modern hotels. Hotel provides people a temporary place to rest and to restore energy for next day’s activity. It provides people who are working outside a temporary “home” to stay and gives traveler a place to rest comfortably. The main idea and goal for the HospiTel is to take away the stress that patient would have in the hospital while experiencing the service and atmosphere of the hotel, which then will facilitate a patient’s restoration mentally and physically faster and quicker.

STUDIO WORKS Introduction Studio explored the potential of both functional and emotional impacts of the interior environment through precedent, typology, material, and contextual investigations to develop a gallery installation and retail space. The objective was to explore symbolic and affective qualities of spaces to attract visitors and engage psychological and socio-cultural meaning as well as physical comfort, safety, and performance. The following design project focused on specific components of interior architecture, such as color, light, materiality, and systems of inhabitation in relation to articulating space.

TAMARIND 203 CHAUTAUQUA BLVD, PACIFIC PALISADES, CA 90272 Project Description and Vision The Eames House, also known as Case Study House No. 8, is a landmark of mid-20th century modern architecture located in the Pacific Palisades neighborhood of Los Angeles. It was designed and constructed in 1949 by husband-and-wife Charles and Ray Eames to serve as their home and studio. They lived in their home until their deaths: Charles in 1978 and Ray, ten years to the day, in 1988.


Early Process Design a restaurant by using the case study of the Eames House. To create a better and special experience for users, this project is required to use ventilation and floor as part of the main design system. Ventilation is always relating to temperature and humanity and it can be change according to the interior design, and indoor air pollution can be affected by ventilation system. By using ventilation, it can benefit to the sense of smelling in the restaurant and the dish to provide special dining experience.

Concept In this design, it is creating an Indian fusion molecular cuisine restaurant. By using the ventilation cycle, it can benefit to the senses of smelling. First of all, consumers will smell the smoke of the dish that has created before they start to eat. This way can provide a funny, playful, and joyful experience for the consumers since they are kind of guessing what food they are going to eat, and this can bring a lot of fun. Moreover, by using the special ventilation system that Eames House have design, the smell of each dish will keep until the end when customers finish their meal and this method can lead consumers feel more satisfy and interest on the meal.


WAVEFUL 900 E 4TH ST, LOS ANGELES, CA 90013 Project Description and Vision A+D MUSEUM 900 E 4th Street, Los Angeles, CA, 90013 A+D Museum was created to celebrate and promote an awareness of architecture and design in everyday life through exhibits, educational programs, and public outreach to the design community as well as the public in the greater Los Angeles area. It is the only museum in Los Angeles where continuous exhibits of architecture and design are on view. Through exhibits, symposia, multi-disciplinary projects, educational and community programming, A+D serves as a showcase for the work of important regional, national and international designers, providing a forum for contemporary issues in architecture, urbanism, and design that are helping to shape the city.


Object The focus in the design, is to development of an interactive art space by using the braid technique. The interactive art space shall allow visitors to feel the specific emotion in the room, and interactive to the interior design. In this project the building is design into three different areas and provide three different emotions for people who visit the museum by using the materials of colorful fabric, acrylic, and metal.


Early Process The drawing show the research of how human behavior related to the environment and that will affect their experience.


Circulation Plan

Concept Design of this space will give people an anticipating, interactive, and cheerful feeling. The challenges of this project is to use the the furniture features and lighting features, creating a well-being by using braid technique. In the furniture features, the curve of the braid will provide a positive and negative seating arrangement for visitors. And the sun light will affect by the skylight to create a more wonderful feeling for visitors.

Materials Used


Building Structure The subject property is rectangular in plan and is constructed primarily from brick and reinforced concrete with cast stone elements. Though lacking the elaborate ornamentation associated with the Beaux-Arts style, it displays a tripartite composition: an articulated ground floor constructed of concrete with a cast stone beltcourse as the base, brick and cast stone cladding on the second through fifth floors make up the shaft, and the simple cast stone coping at the parapet represents the capital. The primary, north-facing elevation features an arched recessed main entryway with glazed wood double doors, two sidelights, and a wood fanlight that is flanked by two tripartite fixed wood windows and two single-light fixed wood windows with transoms.

Color System Color is one of the important influencers of mood in this design. Blue is a color that represents “loyalty� in Japanese cultures. Therefore, Japanese people like to use the blue color for the objects that they think are related to loyalty and, in my design, the blue color is used in the sushi bar area. The dining room is designed to use red as the main color. Red represents happiness and joyfulness. Using red in the dining area expresses that the meal always brings happiness and joy to the consumers after they eat. Green represents nature and is relaxing.


In the tea room, the green is being used in the furniture and the flooring, which allows people to feel the nature by using vision and interaction within their experience. White represents purity. In the origami gallery, white is the main color. By using the white color in the gallery, people feel calm after they go into the gallery and will not be affected by the outside environment. Moreover, people will pay more attention to the art because the color white gives a good contrast for the artwork in this environment.

The whole dining experience shall allow consumers to feel the specific emotions in different spaces in the restaurant and encourage an interactive experience with the interior design and the foods. Overall, all spaces that have been created are to give people an calm, interactive, joyful and natural feeling, which allow consumers to understand the traditional Japanese culture and the history of Japanese Americans.

PROJECT CONCEPT Woodbury University, 7500 N Glenoaks Blvd, Burbank, CA 91504 The focus in this design is to consider the house studio experience in terms of it being a social and cultural space, and what that means in the context of the design and its location. The dining experience shall allow consumer to feel the specific emotion in the restaurant, and interactive to the interior design and the foods. The interior is design into several areas, such as, sushi bar, sake bar, outdoor tea room and others. The mean concept of this restaurant is using both origami pattern design and Japanese molecular gastronomy cuisine to give a special and wonderful dining experience for the consumers.

PROJECT INFORMATION

This space will give people an anticipating, interactive, joyful and natural feeling. The most challenge on this project are the ceiling features, and lighting features since this building do not have much sunlight. By creating a well ceiling using origami technique, can increase the specific of the interior experience and provide a positive and negative special shadow pattern into the interior to allow consumers have a better experience.
