Middle: <Insert> picture of Dr. Mary Carver Dr. Mary Carver is an Associate Professor in the Department of Mass Communication and is the current Department Chair. “I find a great amount of joy in seeing UCO students learn and develop their skills here in The Department of Mass Communication. The Department prides itself on experienced instructors and out-of-classroom opportunities such as our student media, student organizations, internships, guest speakers, and travel abroad study tours. We encourage our students to take advantage of these diverse opportunities to ensure a smooth transition into the professional world.”

Some things can’t be taught from a textbook. We shared with them everything we did right and everything we did wrong throughout our careers in hopes of giving them a head start to make their own mistakes and learn new tips and tricks in their professional lives.”
