RULES:  An exhibitor may show a maximum of three junior market wether goats.  Minimum weight is 40 pounds with no maximum weight.  A Scrapie tag will be required on all animals.  There will be no official weigh-in of market wethers. Scales will be available for weighing. The exhibitor will provide a weight, on the official weight card, to the Superintendent.  Upon completion of each class, the superintendent will weigh a minimum of the top five wethers. Any wether goat, which has gained more than 5 pounds from the weight listed on the official showing card, will be disqualified and the placing of all animals will be moved up.  Artificial coloring, paint or powder will not be permitted on market wethers.  The use of hydration utensils and the use of soft muzzles are permitted in the stalls only. Soft muzzles must be removed from the goats any time they are taken from their stall for any reason. Failure to use hydration utensils and soft muzzles in the stalls will constitute in disqualification.  Wethers must be sheared to a maximum of 3/8” residual hair length.  Wethers may be braced. The animals must have all four feet on the ground. Animals must be shown with a collar used only to control the animal.  Does are not eligible to show with Market Wethers, but can compete in Division 1121 Junior Prospect Does. Please see that division for rules and entry requirements.  Dehorning of goats at this show is not suggested; however horns should be tipped and rounded. Goats with horns sharper than deemed safe by the show superintendent or fair staff will be required to be tipped or rounded or isolated and not shown.  Exhibitors must show in clean pressed jeans, clean shirt with collar and club emblem (4-H or FFA). 4-H and FFA jackets are acceptable but not required. T-shirts, tennis shoes, and headwear are not allowed.  All accounts of owner must be in financial good standing to be eligible to enter the show ring. PREMIUM INFORMATION: Class:  $60, $50, $40, $30, $30, $30, $30, $30 Overall:  Grand Champion Market Wether Goat - $750  Reserve Grand Champion Market Wether Goat - $500 ENTRY INFORMATION:  Owner’s W-9 form must be included with entry.  Entries can be made online or mailed in. Online entries close August 15. Credit Card payments only taken online.

OKLAHOMA STATE FAIR® FEES: Required  $22.50 per head (if postmarked or entered online by August 15)  $45.00 per head (if postmarked after August 15 & by September 1) Additional  Equipment permit - $30.00  Additional Tickets (pre-order for immediate family members) $7.00 adult single day ticket, $4.00 child single day ticket (ages 11 – 6) or an Exhibitor Ticket Bundle (4 single day tickets) for $20.00 if postmarked by September 1, 2012. Also may purchase Season Pass for $25.00 good for all 11 days.  Exhibitor will receive an armband(s) with Junior Entry. GENERAL RULES AND REGULATIONS:  Exhibitor agrees to abide by all rules, regulations, specifications and requirements set out in the General Rules and Regulations section (found separate from this division) and any other said rules distributed by Oklahoma State Fair® (OSF) management.
