HISTORY

Born on December 11th, 1980 - now 33 years old Santiago Ascenço from Goiânia, state of Goiás, finds hims elf on his physical and mental prime. Santiago was 13 y.o. when he started on triathlon and by 15 y.o. he scored his first international title - The Pan American Junior Championship at the Dominican Republic. From that moment, the athlete conquered uncountable races and championships as an amatour athlete. By 17y.o. when he decided to race as a professional, he was already among the top 10 Brazilian triathletes. In 2012 after leading the race for more than 5 hours, he was the runner up onIRONMAN BRAZIL, establishing himself as one of the greatest Brazilian triathletes.

PURPOSE In 2014, we will start on a new phase, aiming for specific races to earn points for the ranking system which determines pro athlete eligibility to compete at the Ironman World Championship in KonaHawaii. The focus now is to be prepared so in the next 2 years, with our partners' support, the athlete has conditions to position among the top 10 in the World Championship. In parallel, there are national races to participate, intending to be in the media, but also to keep on a competition pace during the season.
