Campus Apartment Living 30% of juniors & seniors live on campus. We offer the choice of single or double rooms in fully furnished two bedroom & four bedroom/2 bath apartments.

With the recently opened University Villas junior/senior community as well as the daVinci and Loyola RLC apartments, SCU now has plenty of upperclassmen housing to accommodate any student wishing to stay connected all four years in a student community living environment.

Roommate Requests If you meet another student at Orientation you would like to have as a roommate in the fall, both of you need to email by July 27th.

– If students are in the same RLC, we can likely accommodate this request. – Odds are very slim to make RLC changes. Contact the Housing Office, Benson 212, today to see if an RLC change is possible before registering for classes tomorrow – Once roommate assignments are posted in mid-August, no roommate changes will be allowed until the Room Change period during the third week of classes in the fall

The Preferred (1,531 points) and Basic (1,308 points) Resident Dining Plans are flexible quarterly allowances for all freshmen living on campus. No fixed number of meals resetting per week. Exempt from Ca Sales Tax creating a savings over cash, debit, or credit card purchases. Allow you to eat anytime, anywhere on campus. Something open all hours of the day until late at night. “Pace Yourself” charts posted at cash registers. Up to 65 unspent points carry over quarter to quarter. Unspent balance forfeited at end of year only.

Changing Dining Plans To change your Resident Dining Plan, submit a Resident Dining Plan Change Request Form to the Housing Office by the deadline: – August 10th for Fall Quarter – November 9th for Winter Quarter – February 15th for Spring Quarter Resident Dining Plans cannot be changed once the quarter has started. Secures Campus Facilities The card is your key to residence halls, labs, athletic & performing arts facilities, communications studios, and other specialized classrooms.

Unlike a lost key, you can deactivate your card 24/7 if lost or stolen while we avoid costly re-keying.

ACCESS Card Financial Accounts Three debit accounts on one card for security, savings, and convenience eliminating the need for daily cash or coins: Resident Dining Plan Dining Plus Plan Flex Account

Flex Account The ACCESS Flex Account is accepted at over 200 locations on campus and in the surrounding area. Offers cashless spending for books, supplies, laundry, copying, printing, parking permits, event tickets, library fines, etc. Students spend $600+ from their Flex Accounts per quarter.

Printing Options

Smartprint: Each year you will get an allotment equivalent to 600 pages of free printing on your ACCESS Card to be used at any networked printer on campus, including in the Learning Commons, your residence hall, and the WEPA kiosk in the Benson Center. The WEPA kiosk allows printing from any smart phone, computer, iPad, or USB drive.

Setting up & Managing Accounts Resident Dining Plan is automatically set up with housing contract. Dining Plus and Flex Accounts are set up with a deposit of any amount at anytime.

Cash register & VTS displays, receipts, statements, and web site keep you aware of your charges and account balances at all times.

ACCESS Deposits Using the Bursar Account •

You are allowed charge your Bursar Account for replacement or lost cards and for Dining Plus or Flex Account deposits up to $500 per quarter. This is especially helpful for students with scholarships covering the cost of books.

These charges will be billed by the Bursar’s Office with tuition and other fees.

This transaction must be made in person at the ACCESS Office.

Meeting every need for books, supplies, residence hall accessories, and SCU gear in store and online.

Bookstore Registration Integration

New registration integration enables student to register for classes through eCampus and immediately have the booklist for their classes pop up ready to order.

Order Textbooks Now Rent or buy books online at or through eCampus as soon as you register for classes.

Avoid lines and get first choice of used and rental books by ordering in advance. Ordered books are shipped or held for pickup at the Bookstore. Flex Account and credit card charges are not processed until September.

Textbook Rental Program •Save on up front textbook costs by renting online or in the store for 45% of the cost of purchasing new. •Rented books must be returned, in good condition, by last day of finals. Normal usage, note taking, and highlighting in rented textbooks are acceptable. •Rentals returned damaged or after the due date will result in a charge to the credit card on file.

Cash for Books We buy back used books and pay up to 50% of the original cost if we know the faculty plan to use the books the following quarter. We offer for sale as many used books as possible to allow you to save 25% off the price of new books.

Campus Bookstore Tech Store

Our Tech Store features demonstration computers to try out and a knowledgeable manager ready to assist you. It also offers computers and tech gear for sale including hardware, Bluetooth devices, and media storage to support your life on campus.

Residence Hall Accessories A full line of residence hall room supplies are available at the Bookstore.

Shop at the store for a complete selection or order online in advance for pick up at Welcome Weekend.

School Supplies & Bookstore Vending Machine The Bookstore has all of the supplies you will need from pens, pencils, notebooks and backpacks to calculators, art supplies and more.

Vending machine in the Learning Commons & Library conveniently offers testing forms and other supplies when store is closed.
