Situated within the Spanish colonial historic El Paseo amid the Presidio Neighborhood is the WINE COLLECTION OF EL PASEO, facebook .com/WineCollectionofElPaseo, where six different tasting rooms—Au Bon Climat, Grassini, Happy Canyon Vineyard, Jamie Slone Wines, Margerum Wine Company, and MWC32—are now open and pouring their latest and greatest vintages. Jamie Slone, who has spearheaded the branding of this group, says, “I believe the consumer wants an easy way to connect with, relate to, and identify with the tasting rooms. As the architect of the Wine Collection of El Paseo, it only seemed natural to create a brand that was representative of Santa Barbara and the ultrapremium wineries, to create an experience for the adult consumer and serious wine/food enthusiast but with a laid-back Santa Barbara vibe.” –G.Z.T.

“Santa Barbara County is the new darling of the wine industry.” CLOCKWISE FROM TOP LEFT: Hugh Margerum; a bottle of Grassini Cabernet Sauvignon and the tasting room bar; Kym and Jamie Slone and some mementos of bottles enjoyed at their El Paseo tasting room.
