Mexico’s Yucatan Costa De Cocos Lodge Off The Hook Adventures (541) 510-1975 65 Division Ave. Ste W-1 #228 email@example.com www.offthehookadventures.net
July 05 to 12, 2014 - $2045 Check out our blogs and Facebook in regards to the bonefish and permit that our group got into last July. You will see why we are excited for a return trip. Not to mention that yours truly “jumped” four tarpon and lost them all. My line was too light (20lbs) and each of these fish cut me off. (No excuses). Costa De Cocos lies at the extreme southern end of Mexico’s Yucatan Peninsula. The lodge lies right on the border of Belize. On many days, Belize was on the right of our fishing vessel and Mexico on the left. There are over 1,000 square miles of fishing flats that this area offers up. Lagoons, mangroves, massive flats, large and small bays all add up to an amazing experience. The food is fantastic; much of it is gourmet and made to order. Let’s not forget the “open bar”. This watering hole was a great gathering spot, after a day on the flats. The margaritas, pina coladas, beers and fine Chilean wines flowed freely. The guides are very knowledgeable and determined. This type of sight fishing is done either from the boat on casting platforms, or wading the shallow flats. Expect “many” bonefish, every day. Also, beyond a shadow of a doubt, this is one of the top permit locales on the planet. Lots of opportunities are available to our anglers. The tarpon were found in isolated deep holes and on one day myself and fishing partner chased about 100 around a large lagoon. Anglers can also expect casting to barracuda if they desire. Mangrove jacks, snapper and other exotics are also readily available. The lodge itself can accommodate 20 in comfortable rooms, with ceiling fans. Our group had some power outages while there and it made two nights uncomfortable. However, the new generator installation has solved that problem. The rate includes a first and last night in Chetumal, all transfers, 7 nights at Costa De Cocos, 6 days guided fishing (two per boat), all meals, taxes, and an open bar. Whether you are a fly or a light tackle spin fisherman this will be a fantastic time of great fishing and comradery. Get on board today! Remember, when you travel with us you are traveling with friends. Take a look at our website: www.costadecocos.com OR http://www.offthehookadventures.net/mexico
