Are you looking for a one-of-

a-kind, outdoor adventure for your family? Ocean Connectors, a nonprofit organization linking local youth with coastal education, is now offering Eco Tours to the entire community. These informative encounters with nature involve a variety of hands-on, active learning experiences and can be customized for your group. You might opt to discover sea turtles, explore California whales or study migratory birds while exploring coastal wetlands. Along the way, the day could involve anything from hiking or beach and habitat restoration to a fun-filled cruise around San Diego Bay. Whatever excursion(s) you choose, friendly and well-informed guides will take care of the planning and details. All you have to do is show up and have fun! “We strive to provide family-friendly outdoor experiences focused on observing native wildlife of San Diego Bay, such as kayaking, biking, nature walks, bird and whale watching,” explains executive director Frances Kinney, who received her masters degree in Marine Biodiversity and Conservation from Scripps Institute
