to improve our QUALITY of life. I am on mission to change that. There are many ways that we can optimize our patient’s health throughout their lives. There are ways to maintain their cognitive health, decrease their risks of cardiovascular disease, preserve their musculoskeletal health, and to maintain vitality throughout our lives. Dr. Askew is excited to be able to share this knowledge with her patients.
Dr. Wendy Askew, MD is a Gynecologist & a Functional and Regenerative Medicine physician in full-time private practice at Dr. Rogers Centers in San Antonio. Through her 20 plus year career in medicine, she has served in the USAF, participated in medical missions, taught in academic medicine programs, and built a thriving, incredibly busy, private practice. She has recently made a professional transition, out of obstetrics, and now finds herself able to focus on hormonal health for men and women; gynecology; and the incredibly rewarding field of Regenerative medicine. This field employs a variety of tools to boost the body’s natural ability to heal itself, and whenever possible to replace and regenerate cells and often, to restore normal function. It’s an exciting time to be a physician! We are living longer, with life expectancy in the USA being nearly 80 years; yet medicine has failed
She is an expert in all aspects of women’s health; hormonal health for men and women; sexual health; and in regenerative medicine. Offering patients autologous stem cell therapy, (which means using their own stem cells) for a variety of conditions under IRB-approved research protocols. When she’s not working she enjoys spending time with her two amazing daughters, Hannah and Sophie and her husband, Sam Sitterle, and their three rescue pets. She loves traveling, exercising, reading, meditation, meeting new people, and personal & professional growth.
