Toy Packaging Project Winter 11-12 This project is a toy package designed for a barn toy, specifically Peter the Pig. For this project we had to create a toy package that was fit enough to be put on the shelves as a children’s toy. The process I took for this project was first i did research on what was required for a toy package. This included the bar code scanner as well as the warning label letting parents know that young children should not use this toy. After the research I did, I started to think that a barn animal should live in a barn, hence the barn design. I proceeded to design this in in Illustrator then printed on heavy weight paper and assembled with the toy inside. From this project I learned that toy packaging is an art and can be very have to do if you do not know what you are doing. I also learned that you need to look at who your target market is and advertise to that.

Typography Book Fall 2012 This project is a typography book with a binding elements built in. This project had specific things that need to be included. These things were typography, two pages of set text, and a unique kind of binding. I used typography in a different way then most of the other people in my class did. I used only vector images as well as text alignment. I then put the two pages of text into this book in chronological order. The first page was the definitions of font family and typeface (both not shown here). The second was the history of typography (shown above). This page has all the text meant to be in this book over laid to make the red of the title stand out. The third page is the first history ever made of typography as well as a paragraph about typography today(not shown). The final page is a time line of the important events of typography. For the title I found this quote that state “ I do not think of type as something that should be readable, it should be beautiful. this quote mean that everything thing should be designed for functionality but also for the beauty. One of the main problems I ran into with this book was how to do the binding. The first couple of prototypes kept ripping wholes in my book, but once I figured out the right way to book bind i can out with this beautiful book.

ASHA Zine Design Winter 12-13 This project was a Zine design as well as a logo for the Zine. The topic of my zine was my snake Sasha and her species, the Ball Python. The way I went at this was that first I looked up what a zine actually was because at the time I did not know. Once I looked up a bunch of different zine designs, I decided to make my about my snake. I picked to do it after Sasha because out of all of the zines I saw, there werenone about animals. After I came up with my topic I started by deciding what I would like people to know about this species. Then I took pictures of my snake, that went along with te categories. I finished it with a staple saddle stich.

project write up Montion Graphic Project Winter 12-13

This project is Motion Graphic. This is an info-graphic that moves. This project was design in adobe after effect. Threw this story bored there are little movements that make it more interactive. The whole info-graphic is moving up as if someone is pulling a long sheet of paper threw a window. Then each image has a small movement. For example: on the third image, the bike roles in, the sandwich gets a bite takin out of it, and the car rides in. these kind of things happen throughout the whole graphic. I learned from this project that it is every hard to keep the time are a good pace. Things need to be in perfect timing or it can be to fast or to slow.

2012 Calandar Design Winter 12-13 This project is a 2012-calandar design. For this project I designed an image for each month. These images were all designed in illustrator. Each image is designed to reflect the feeling of that month. This calendar is designed as a desk calendar. It is meant to sit on someone’s desk and they just change what month is on top as the months change threw out the year. This project was particularly hard because if one day was off then the whole calendar will be off. I learned from this project that designing something from scratch and be very hard but once you have your mind set on something you can finish what you started. This project was also hard because some months can have a similar image and know one wants two months to look that same. Every month should be its own special month. Some of the problems I faced with is project was that it was so hard to get everything aligned with each other, such as the days of the week with the days of the month. I started to write down all the numbers so I could align everything better.

Fall 2013 This project was full app design. Our assignment was to fully design RIPTA an app because their mobile site is not very user friendly. I first started addressing the problem that people with big fingers have. I made every link on this app a double tap. The first tap brings up an arrow and the second brings you to the next page. The second this I addressed was the way RIPTA has there bus times on their mobile site. They just have one page with all the bus times for the whole day. I changed it so there is a scroll wheel that brings you to the next available time for the bus you choice. The last thing I changed was that you can track the bus you are trying to catch giving you the power to plan accordingly.

Save the Stripes Charity Campaign Fall 2013 This project was a full charity campaign. This project was required to have four components. My components were a t-shirt, a website, stickers and a bus stop ad. These four components came together to form the Save the Stripes campaign. This campaign was designed to get donations to save tigers in the wild from poaching, habitat lose and rehabilitation. If someone were to donate more the $25 then they will receive a t-shirt with the choice of black or white and also two stickers, a bumper sticker and an everything sticker. The problems I had with this project was making everything go together but not making everything look the same. I am personal very proud of this project.

Campaign Project- Bus Stop ad & Stickers Fall 2013 These two piece are both part of a campaign project from my portfolio class. These are two components for the project. First is a bus stop advertisement. This ad was created by taking a photo for a bus ad in providence, then putting the poster I designed over it. This ad give the information for an up coming charity event that any person can go to. This also has the web address so anyone can make a donation. I picked a bus stop ad because there is a lot of traffic on busses in big cities so a lot of people can see this. The second component has two parts. Both of these are stickers that someone could get if they donated at least $25 online. The first is an everything sticker. This is basically a sticker someone can put on anything, from a notebook to a laptop as shown in the picture above. There is also a bumper sticker the says “RAWR IF YOU LOVE TIGER. this quote is a play on words letting people know that you donated money to save a very powerful animal

Personal Website Fall 2013 This project was designing my own personal site. For this site I coded the site my self. For my site I first started by looking at everything that I have coded before for class. Then I took my own personal knowledge and designed this. On this site I give people the option to read about me, download my resume, look at my portfolio through Issuu as well as email me. When coding this I ran into many problems. From figuring out how to make a link from my site to my email to how to gray out the back ground when a new page was brought up. I find this site very functional as well as well designed. This design works because its very simple and if a potential employee were to look at this they could find just what there looking for with out having to go through a bunch of unnecessary pages to find it. I do in the future plan to up the design so that it is even more appealing to the eye.
