Design decisions Audience: Parents and carers of children Purpose: To encourage them to attend an event that promotes the fair deal campaign. What will I do to ensure the work is suitable for? Audience: I will use reasonable sophisticated language. Not too complicated that it cannot be understood by my chosen target audience but complex enough not to belittle or patronise. I will use a subtle, earthy colour scheme to make sure that will not be childish and unappealing to adults but will be relevant to the context and purpose of the movie. Purpose: I will use persuasive language to encourage people to try fair trade products. I will also use a lot of information to make sure that any parents, who want to attend, can. For each of the following; I will... • For my titles I will use a simple blue, black and white colour scheme that is often associated with a sleek, professional look. I will do this because I am aiming at an adult audience who will expect professional standards. • Content – I will give examples of the food and drinks available at the coffee morning to attract people and encourage them to attend. • Language – I will use persuasive language to encourage people to attend the event. • Images/video – my footage will be shot from a tripod to convey a sense of professionalism and not add unprofessional connotations to the event it is promoting
