This multipurpose retail space for Memento is inspired by the shared childhood memory of learning to ride a bike. In an effort to encourage users to once again explore, learn, and connect with their community and environment, the design will integrate familiar forms of our past in order to cultivate an approachable atmosphere; geometric shapes and straight lines, reminiscent of the grounds on which we once played, will create a sense of movement and rythm within the design. Memento invites you to play.

Inspired by the power of today’s cultural movement - acceptance of diverse and able women - a

series of monochromatic color schemes will emphasize a bold and playful company culture, while

a variety of shapes and lines within the space will cultivate a diverse environment representative of its users. Through a deep understanding of changing trends within the design industry, Empower will cater not only to today’s ideal workplace, but to the implications research may have for office design in the future.

Inspired by a vinyl record and its rich sound and appearance, the newly renovated Kellogg Hotel

suite will embody that same essence of quality and material comfort. Through the resemblance of

a vinyl’s iconic lines and geometric form, the space will transport guests back to the 1950s to shed light on the historic presence of the building. Repetition will be utilized to achieve harmony within the space. Just as music has the power to set the mood, rythm will guide guests through their relaxing stay at the Kellogg Hotel.

Interlink will serve as the first and lasting impression of New York City for users of the new urban transit center. Inspired by the power of transporation to universally mobilize and connect people and culture, repetition and movement will guide the form of the luminaire. Through the use of recycled materials and an LED lighting system, this sustainable and symbolic piece will illuminate the central hall with an atmosphere that speaks to the city’s culture and it’s people.
