‘Nights With Effect’ focusses on the mentally energising qualities of Effect and promotes this to students in a fun, interactive way encouraging them to experience the stimulating qualities. Although students go out a lot there are also many nights in with little to do, and this campaign gives activities to fill the nights and playfully test the stimulating qualities of Effect. The campaign will be launched during freshers week 2014 where packs will be distributed. The pattern used throughout visually represents energy with the red and yellow gradient triangles and the night element with the blue. The vibrant pattern will appeal to students whilst relating to the stimulating qualities of Effect and also in-keeping and working with the existing geometric Effect logo.

freshers fair pack

Freshers week is a great time to give free things to students as there are freshers fairs all over the country. Packs will be distributed in a branded reusable bag consisting of an interactive scratch off A2 posters revealing mentally stimulating activities, a coaster with a brain teaser, a can of Effect and a glass with a printed Effect based word search, that can even be written on. Student halls of residence are dull and minimal so the vibrant aesthetic will brighten up homes whilst giving students activities to do with flat mates to experience Effect.

nights with effect Experience the mental energizer. Scratch to reveal mind stimulating activities. Test your brain, have fun and feel the effect.

The circles on this A2 poster will be been printed with a material that can be scratched off to reveal various fun, mentally stimulating activities that can be done with friends or alone. The scratch off, interactive aspect makes the poster much more exciting and makes it last longer as students will wait for a boring night to scratch off a circle.

Students that have moved from home always need items such as simple glass tumblers, and by printing a word search onto these they can stimulate their minds whilst drinking Effect. There are 8 words to find on the glasses: effect, cool, taste, energy, night, day, fun and now, but there is no list as this makes it more of a challenge. Dry wipe markers can be used to draw onto glass, and this can be wiped off easily.

Front Back

Double sided, printed promotional coasters also come in the freshers pack which will be useful in addition to brightening up the clinical halls of residence. Working with the Nights With Effect campaign the coasters have brain teasers printed to further experience the mentally stimulating effect. Answers are printed upside down on the reverse.

To add to the freshers fair pack the campaign will also be promoted through posters in public areas relevant to the student audience such as areas near public transport and student unions. The word search aesthetic ties in with the mental stimulation theme while the vibrant, geometric pattern will appeal to students.

As this campaign is targetting students social media will be a vital method of promotion and communication. The Facebook and Twitter accounts can be used to communicate directly with students and they also encourage students to post images of their ‘nights with effect’.
