PROS AND CONS OF FAT BURNING AND MUSCLE GAINING PRODUCTS Everyone has that perfect image of the perfect body. Pros: There are three main pros when using fat burning products- speed, ease and boost. The natural way of losing fat is a long and tedious process and thus many people would not even consider the commitment needed to get to your goal. Supplements, on the other hand, are easier to take than lifting weights, works faster than regular fat burning exercises. Also, the special blend of ingredients in these products also gives you more energy over the course of the day. Cons: So, running out and stocking up on pills instead of hitting the gym may seem like a good idea on paper but unfortunately, it isn't. Almost every pill will have some unwanted side effects. These pills are no exception. The list of side effects includes anxiety, lack of sleep, palpitations and heart-attacks. Most people would rather keep the belly fat than tempt death. They are not magical substances that will give you a buff physique overnight. Increased Strength in Muscles: Many of these products claim to increase the strength of the muscles apart from increasing muscle mass. This is actually true as several studies have found out that they do increase muscle strength when combined with resistance training. Increased Burning of Fat: These products contain many compounds like branched-amino acids which not only help build muscle but are also useful when it comes to burning fat.


Gastrointestinal Issues: Many of these muscle building compounds found in these products can irritate the gastrointestinal tract post-consumption. One of these compounds is creatine which can severely upset the stomach and cause diarrhoea. Damage to Kidneys: Studies have concluded that regular use of muscle gaining products can cause long-term damage to the kidneys. This is because the body is flooded with excess creatine which puts undue strain on the kidneys to remove it from the body. Insomnia: If you take supplements closer towards the time you sleep, your body stays active which can cause restlessness and insomnia. Not getting enough sleep is again hurting your body in major ways as it is the primary time that the body uses to heal itself.
