The NAIT dormitory was a first year proposed design project which was carried through the final semester. The dormitory’s primary objective was to design a mixed use building for both residential and commercial. During the second year, a complete set of construction drawings were created in order to make the dormitory constructable.

The idea of creating repetitive honey-comb shape on the roof was to reflect on how NAIT students, as a representative of the bees, are hardworkers. Therefore, luxurious rooms are designed for them to relax and have a greater productivity.

The objective of this project was to design an innovative and sustainable two-storey building in the downtown of Grande Prairie.

The Kingsway Retreat came from the concept of Oasis. The team sought to create a serene atmosphere that would possess an inviting exterior presence at the intersection of Kingsway Street and 111 Avenue.

This was a multi-disciplinary, extra-curricular design competition which was hosted by ProCura. The objective of this competition was to come up with a technological innovation for the redevelopment of a building in the Kingsway area in which students have to challenge themselves to work with the existing structure to meet Procura’s vision of “technology, sustainability and social responsibility.”

The Pharmacy was created in the second year. It was modelled using Sketchup and rendered with IRender. Entourage, shadows, backgrounds and the horizon were added in Photoshop to create a sense of depth and realism.

The objective of this project was to digitally construct a typical steel structure commercial building. The Revit Commercial project challenges students to generate a full set of construction drawings completed with plans, elevations, sections, section details and have the knowledge of rendering realistic scenes using Revit software.
