Craig Parnaby’s figurative works honour a positive, youthful, and humanist celebration of life’s simple pleasures. Evoking an easy-going lifestyle, Craig’s paintings feature oh so familiar depictions of beach figures and ocean pools. Capturing the urban coastal landscape and reflecting a nostalgic period, filled with beach adventures in the Summer sun. Bodies merge with, and emerge from the landscape, like castles in the sand. Tonal variations of umber beach figures contrast a turquoise sea, complimented by lime greens, and burnt oranges.
In 2025 Craig Parnaby celebrates a partnership with Salt Contemporary that spans over a period of 20 years. With two decades of exhibiting numerous solo bodies of work, ‘Under the Morning Sun’ commemorates a significant milestone of representation.
Craig’s paintings are held in both public and private collections, notably Gold Coast University Hospital and Collaroy Hotel Sydney.
