In the name of Allah, The Gracious, The Merciful Assalam-o-Alaikum wa Rehmatullah, May I request you to forward this email to just three of your family members (mothers)... or Ahmadi friends who may have children between the ages of 7-15? 'Mothers' because they generally lead the effort of teaching Holy Quran. Ask them to enroll their son in this spiritual club of boys who recite Holy Quran daily. Encourage them to forward it to at least three of their close contacts. Check it out: http://www.mkausa.org/DRC/ Personalize the message and that's even better! Trip to New York Knicks game: Metro New York Jama'at members took a trip to Madison Square garden to watch Basketball game, New York Knicks vs Utah, Jazz. Members (Atfal and Khuddam) led by Ahmad Chaudhry had a good time, but were sorry to see home team knicks go down against Utah. By the grace of Allah almighty, Majlis Khuddamul Ahmadiyya NY Metro has "adopted a family" in the New York area that is in desperate need of assistance. The family consists of a single mother of three children, 8 year old boy, 5 year old daughter, and two year old toddler. The family currently has no income and very little household furnishings. Their immediate needs are as follows: 4 twin beds (mattress, frames, linens and pillows) 4 dressers/clothing storage units Kitchen supplies (pots and pans, utensils, plates, glasses, and small appliances) cleaning supplies clothing and shoes (woman and children) storage bins These are items that have been requested and are needed, but any and all donations can be used. Please think of any appliances or useful items you have that are in good condition, or even better any unopened gifts just sitting in your closet from weddings or birthdays such as blenders, toaster ovens, dishes, etc. The four twin beds and dressers are very important (they're currently sleeping on the floor). Please think of how you can help towards meeting this need. There are two ways for you to make donations. 1) We will be holding a donations drive at Bait-uz-Zafar on Saturday, Dec. 12th, 12 - 3 pm and at Bait-ul-Tahir on Saturday Dec. 19th, 10 am - 1 pm where you can bring your donations, or 2) alternatively you can drop off donations during isha namaaz or on the weekend when there are scheduled events. For questions, information or to arrange for pick up of large items please call Nadim Malik at 646-418-2995.
