Luling Police Department’s 2010 Blue Santa Christmas is coming and that means it’s time for the City of Luling’s Police Department to get the Blue Santa program underway. The gifts will be new, unused, age and family appropriate, wrapped and delivered to the families on December 18th. To finance the community project, Luling Police Department is planning a fundraiser called “Luling Police- To Protect & Serve: Your Dinner!?” December 7th, 4 Pm- 9 Pm. With the assistance of Shannon Lindberg and Marcie Link, Secrets keeps the men and women of Luling looking their best. Services offered include full hair care, nails, facials and massage. Before it was Secret’s, 505 E. Davis was adapted for several other businesses. In the 40’s it was Brookner’s Man Shop and in the 50s it was NJ Jacobs Real Estate. It’s unclear how long these businesses remained at this location. Bassett Jewelers moved to this location in the mid 70s and remained here until 1981 when it was sold to Newsom’s Jewelers. In 1997 Keepsakes, a sewing and arts & craft shop was here and in later years it was Fat Pablitos, a Mexican food restaurant.
